He gets it. Today he's talking about the global threat to the American way of life, this proposed bailout. God, Man and Darkness. He also has the #3 radio show in America.

He says we're going to go through fire, but we'll be all right. Fingers crossed here- hope so!

An much as I know a lot of people hope that the aliens will come down and kill us all, and the jack-booted thugs will hunt us down and steal our wallets, I have to agree.

I think, (if the bailout goes down), that what we will see is some hard times. But like the forest that is ravaged by fire, the end result will be OK.

Will there be people hurt? Certainly. I think those that took the risky deals, and rolled the dice will get hurt. As will those in the forum that choose to run into the streets, screeching, with their arms in the air. It's like falling off a boat into the water. If you panic, you're dead.

I really believe this is what we need in our economy to clean out the dead wood. The one question everyone has to ask, have I secured my fort from financial ruin? Or do I have a few windows open that present a security issue?

I adore Glenn Beck! I don't always agree with his politics, but he is often truly bi-partisan, and has a great sense of humor. It's refreshing to listen to someone who doesn't take himself so seriously. When he and Stu go at it, I'm often rolling on the floor!

Having said that, you're right, he does "get it". Unfortunately, not enough people are listening.

Glenn Beck! A breath of fresh air. I was talking to a well-informed (?) friend earlier today and happened to mention Glenn. My friend had never heard of him, but promised to watch. Hmmm.....I'll follow through on that one.

I can't stomach Glenn Beck anymore than I can O'Reilly or Hannity. I guess I just don't like people who yell through the TV screen or a radio mike to give their views. Too cocky and flippant for me.

I rarely watch him on TV, here in Idaho he's on at 7pm, and we're usually still outside at that time. But I do listen to his radio show. He's a big Ron Paul supporter! What I like about him is that he doesn't take himself too seriously. When he does go on his rants, he's well researched which I respect. Every time I've gone on a fact checking search on something he's said, he's proved right.

He's nothing like Hannity (whom I hate with the heat of a thousand suns!), he's in a different league altogether.

True Ironsgold, Beck isn't AS bad as Hannity or O'Reilly. He does the right wing rants and he does get somewhat heated about expressing them. I'm an old leftie, always have been, always will be. Having said that, I do watch Fox sometimes, to hear the other side and sometimes I will even agree. It depends on who's doing the yakking and how they present their opinion.

Yup, I watch FOX, and MSNBC, and CNN. I like to compare 'em. I've been a leftie for a long time, but now I'm more a small "l" libertarian. Wouldn't vote for McCain if you put a gun to my head. Or Obama. Don't like the idea of a filibuster proof
president.

I tend to respect everyone's opinion. I'm old enough to know I've been wrong more than I've been right!

Now that he's not so much a typical talk radio host, I wonder how his ratings are doing? Our local radio station moved his time slot from 3-6 to 5-8. that time of the evening people are home and don't listen to the radio so much. The Baltimore and DC talk stations don't carry his show. Odd for the the #3 talk show in the US (if it still is)

Yesterday, he prefaced what he was going to say about the state of the economy by rambling a bit about how he doesn't believe in conspiracies, Bilderberg, etc. Then he went on to say on thinking it over, he believes the whole thing is planned. Hey, ya think?

I think I understand what might be going on in his head. He works in the corporate world, and if he's branded a "political wing nut" it's going to hurt his career. (He has a family so work is important)

So he's walking a tightrope. If he goes too far, he becomes "edge" radio.
But if he backpedals a bit and eases into the message, he gets the word out to lots of people who have never heard of Alex Jones.

He better hurry up though. All this talk about bringing back the Fairness Doctrine, etc.

Beck is just another clever talking head, fed the fodder of hot topics in today's news and public opinion.

I enjoy listening to him once in a while. But he, Rush, Hannity, and other, remind me of the guy at the bar that gets too many beers in them and then rants for hours upon end, not letting in a rational word from anyone else, and proclaiming themselves the voice of the people and ultimate authority.

Beck, and others, are entertainers.

I listen to Glenn as often as I can, he's good. No nonsense kind of guy and most of the time he is right. Rush has been all charged up lately too.

This morning on Fox & Friends, Glenn said his 5 p.m. show tonight was going to run a feature on the FEMA camps.

FEMA camps.

Think of them as daycare centers, kiddie camps, for the inept and helpless humons.

I think if you compare Beck with Rush Or Sean then you really aren't listening to the show. They're not even close. I guess it's just an automatic thing people who are not republican do. For some reason it's a popular insult from the left to compare others to Rush. Like it somehow takes away the persons "juice" or something.

I have been keeping an eye on Beck for a while now. I used to be a huge fan because he is actually funny at times, but I have seen things lately that have made me begin to question his sincerity...

Nothing I can solidify as yet... if and when I can, I will...
