I have found threads on music but no poetry. I haven't really wrote anything in almost a year so I thought I would write something.

A pale in comparison indeed
when crossing this white page with my life,
all shallow and open
to the interpretation of the unknown.
All is well with such characters around me
as they confide in the crooks and circle's they speak.
A dotting I and crossing T will do
well to pin point their tangent of undeniable
yet brief explanation of mystery and throne.
Yet however still I might be, however wandering
my thoughts come and see, the little twinkles
I find in the back of my mind, they will always
spring forth like an unknown little flame
entrancing those of my kind.

Thanks again, with any luck I'll win the contest I entered it in.

Incase anyone is wondering it's called Letters of the Flame. It's kind of a play on sacred geometry and the alphabet.

I lack the poetry appreciation gene, thus I don't get it, I don't understand poetry. Really, I never understood poetry, and I couldn't write one if my life depended upon it. I mean, I can read the words, but the effect upon me is no different than if I were reading the ingredient list off a can of cat food.

When I was in 9th grade I won best poem out all the english classes. Which is odd casue I suck at english. It was haiku over romeo and juliet. I wish i could remember what I wrote.

The best poems take a picture or chain of evens and find words of a double entendre in nature to describe the picture or chain of events, a feeling even. At least I think they do anyway, maybe it has to do with orthographic projection of the spiritual mind.
