MISSOURI'S BURIED CITY.

A STRANGE DISCOVERY IN A COAL MINE NEAR MOBERLY.

St. Louis, Mo., April 8 - The city of Moberly, Mo. is stirred up over the
discovery of a wonderful buried city, which was discovered at the bottom of
a coal shaft, 360 feet deep, which was being sunk near the city. A hard
and thick stratum of lava arches in the buried city. the streets of which are
regularly laid out and inclosed by walls of stone, which is cut and dressed
in a fairly good, although rude, style of masonry. A hall 30 by 160 feet
was discovered, wherein were stone benches and tools of all descriptions for
mechanical service. Further search disclose statues and images made of a
composition closely resembling bronze, lacking lustre. A stone fountain was
found, situated in a wide court or street, and from it a stream of
perfectly pure water was flowing, which was found to be strongly impregnated with
lime. Lying beside the foundation were portions of the skeleton of a human
being. The bones of the leg measured, the femur four and one-half feet, the
tibia four feet and three inches, showing that when alive the figure was
three times the size of an ordinary man, and possessed of a wonderful
muscular power and quickness. The head bones had separated in two places, the
sagittal and the caronal sutures having been destroyed. The implements found
embrace bronze and flint knives, stone and granite hammers, metallic saws of
rude workmanship, but proved metal, and others of similar character; they
are not so highly polished, nor so accurately made as those now finished by
our best mechanics, but they show skill and an evidence of an advanced
civilization that are very wonderful. The facts above given are vouched for by
Mr. David Coates, the Recorder of the city of Moberly and Mr. George
Keating, city Marshal who were of the exploring party. A further extended search
will be made in a day or two.

I know there are a lot of things that 'we' have been kept in the dark about, but I must wonder whether a discovery such as this could truly be kept out of 'mainstream' news? :33:

Oh, but it was in the news ( :stretch: ). It was published on April 9th, 1885, in the New York Times (http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?_r=1&res=9E0CEFD81030E433A2575AC0A9629C94649FD7CF). You must have not read the paper that day.

Well then, I happily stand corrected Div! Apparently this discovery ended up in 'forbidden archaeology' with everything else that doesn't 'fit' what 'they' want us to know!

And once again... Thank you Jewels!

Oh, and Div - I was busy that day and didn't get to read the paper! (snickering loudly)

If I understand correctly it would fit right in with what is told in the Book of Mormon. The book talks of an advanced civilization which coverd north and south america.

Ah, thank you CM! The Sumerian history explains it all too.

Hi Messenger, its nice to meet you.. They also mention in their books of a race that will return... Once upon a time they say that it literally lifted off earth, and they say they will be returning for these times or what they call the Last Days..

Well then, Sitchin has it right doesn't he? He didn't show it through religion though. He showed it through good old fashioned hard work and documentation of historical evidence.

yah, its just too bad that the earth's religions dont know it .... that if only they would look further and see all the artifacts and ancient texts of others upon earth, they could even have more info then they think they have all of.. They dont know what they are missing really.. closed off to any other possibility....

Ah Jewels, that's because 'religion' equals 'control' though isn't it? One cannot control through science and facts. But make something mysterious and unknown, with dire consequences if 'religious doctrin' is not obeyed, then you can control a lot of people, and gain a whole lot of money right? Those who were part Annunaki, and part of the controlling order who were left behind when the 'divine ones' left this earth were not stupid were they? They had already learned well, how to control the masses...

Sorry, M'Lady, but I cannot let that one pass uncommented. Scientism is the new religion, and IMO is MUCH more dangerous that the rest of them put together. Just one example is Big Pharma. Can you fix H1N1? Can you even tell whether it exists? They've got you by the short ones, and they have PROOF!!

I gotta shut up, or I'lll start ranting like a madman.

Okay, okay... Let me rephrase. 'One cannot control through science and facts' IF one has personally studied all of the science and facts themselves!!! With knowledge, comes power. Why do you think the ancient 'church' was so adamant about the 'common' person not learing how to read or write? It ALL goes back to 'those who from heaven came'!!! And 'they' weren't here for our future happiness!!!

As for Big-Pharma, it is all part and parcel of 'they who from heaven came'. H1N1 is just part of the scenario. It's all about money and power, and it always has been.

Thanks. I like that lots better! Especially the part about readin' and ritin.' I'm just saying we have a new "priesthood." And that it's a really dangerous one. No more crusades, that's piddling small. Let's put this new virus into mosquitoes, and kill off half the planet. Great fun! ;)
