It's probably not a good idea for the new busdriver to ask the kids on the bus for directions :rolleyes:
--A BUS driver who got lost while taking kids on a ten-minute trip to school asked them for directions — only to be sent on an hour-and-a-half tour.
The busman, on his first trip on the route, was a few hundred yards from his destination when he asked the pupils if he should turn left or right.
A girl tried to help, but mischievous lads sent him the wrong way.
The bus was due at the Frank F Harrison School in Walsall, West Midlands, at 8.30am, but never got there.
Most kids got off at 10am and walked to class.
The driver was suspended but has now been reinstated after an inquiry put the blame on his passengers.
A spokesman for the school said: “The driver was unfamiliar with the route and got lost. He then got confused.”
