Dig up the root and clean off with kitchen scrub brush removing any dirt stuck in the grooves of the root. Chop root up. Place in blender. Add approx., 1/4 of store bought horseradish to the amount you are making. If it looks like you will be making a blender full add one cup of jalapeno juice from pickled can of same...very important. Add a couple of spoone fulls of vineger...the more you add the less heat it will have so be careful...you can't reverse the process. Add a spoone full of salt...or to taste. BLEND BUT NEVER HOLD YOUR FACE OVER THE BLENDER WHEN LID IS OFF...IT HURTS. Let what you have sit one day then return to finish. Now you taste and decide what you may want to add but remember...the hotter it is the better it will clear your head when a head cold sets in. Nose plugged up? Take deep whif...sure it may hert but the nose will clear up a bit more than it was. This will have more heat to it than Little Beaver brand. Ice box shelf life is approx., 3 months however, 6 months is probable but I've never had a batch last that long cuzzzzzzzzzzzz everyone wants some and so I give it away.
