My supervisor's mom died of that kind of cancer on Mar 21st. :( Now they got cure.... :( Regarding the mom who killed her child? Once again, I am totally for a law that would require would-be parents to obtain a license to have a child. The same required income scale that is used for people to bring their foreign brides here ought to be used for those seeking to have a child and each would-be parent ought to pass - at the very least - the same pscyh eval used for guards seeking to carry a gun on duty. Them's my two cents worth. Now, on with the show! Hi Badboy and all! :D

Evening Explorer's. Should be a good show.
Starts off on a sad note, a mom who strangles her son? No problem, the world is going downhill fast. Simple solution, the mother does not desearve prision, I say she desearves to suffer a little more. She has killed an innocent child who depended on her to keep him safe, so I say she should suffer a slow painful torturous death. Kill or harm a child in anyway, then you should be tortured to ensure a slow painful death.
But that's just my Wingnut opinion.
I can't agree with getting a "license" to have a child. There is already too much Gov't involvement in our lives as it is. But i do agree its the wrong people doing most of the breeding.

Well, provided my tax payer dollars didn't have to pay for it? Cool by me. Stoning in the public square sounds good to me. I'd go for that. Bottom line, she must die. I don't care what her excuse is. Death to drug dealers; death to those who molest/have sex with kids under 14 years of age; death to wife-beaters; death to those who beat and/or kill their kids or those of others. I'm tired of footing the bill to cage these monsters and tired of hearing about repeat offenders.

Then how can one put an end to them having kids they don't need to be having? I don't like the govt being involved either, but ... what else do you turn to? The honor system? The Church? Yeah right.... Two kids per family unit, says I. Each kid must have at least a $50,000 life insurance policy/retirement account set up for them by the parents (like State Farms Ten Pay thing, which is what my kid has, only his is $100,000) and each kid must have a like account set up for education. If you can pay those stay above the 125% over poverty scale used for people bringing their foreign wife to the States, then you don't get to have a kid, period.

More Gov't involvement is never a good answer. Just an excuse to take more taxes from us.
Its a fact that more educated people have less children. And only have kids if they can afford them.
The ONLY way to avoid food additives is to grow your own food and raise your own livestock. And how many of us can do that?

Again, they would obviously meet the above requirements. I'm not worried much about them, though a few rich and/or educated folk could stand a psych eval. ;) I'm more consider with those in my social class (upper lower class or lower middle class), not to mention those middle-lower and lower-lower class folk. Again, what's the solution? The honor system? We're on that now and it ain't working. The Church? Nah! They're all about getting every soul out of the Guph (Well of Souls) and breeding tithers to enrich church coffers at the expense of quality of life. Quantity is everything with them! What's the answer? Sooner or later this problem with reach a boiling point and then we'll really suffer a knee-jerk reaction from the PTBs. Christopher Lambert's Fortress much? ;)

As far as Firewalls go I recommend ZoneAlarm (http://www.zonelabs.com/) The basic Firewall is solid and free of charge. I'm partial to the Zonealarm Pro version it has a few more options and I've never had a problem with it.

(CNN) -- It is 2020. Life expectancy is still in the 80s and the world record life span is still 122.
In 2000, Cambridge biomedical gerontologist Aubrey de Grey began to develop and promote a radically new approach to postponing aging which he termed "Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence."
During 2005 de Grey enjoyed extensive media coverage, triggering belated analysis of SENS by top biogerontologists goaded by the media's dissatisfaction with the absence of such critiques.
That was enough for one man -- the flamboyant computer billionaire Larry Ellison -- to decide that there was a case to answer and that his wealth would answer it.
Ellison already funded research into aging, but that had hardly differed from work funded routinely in the U.S. by the National Institute of Health (NIH).
But with $100 million per year guaranteed for 10 years, de Grey mobilized the relevant biomedical communities toward the single-minded goal of making already middle-aged mice live much longer healthy lives.
Progress was faster than most predicted and by 2015 mice were living to five rather than three from treatments begun at age two.
The reaction was indescribable, driven especially by the realization that we may soon achieve not only a few decades of life extension but actual "escape velocity," where the remaining imperfections in rejuvenation therapies are being eliminated faster than they catch up with us.
People born just 20 years apart, either side of the escape-velocity cusp, can thus expect life spans differing by many hundreds of years -- and no one knows when that cusp will arrive.
A genuine war-time attitude has gripped humanity, with tremendous sacrifices being made in order to end the slaughter as soon as possible.
Cryonics companies are besieged with sign-ups. Salaries in the fire service and other dangerous professions have trebled.
Taxes have risen by 30% -- not merely to fund the clinical research but also to train the armies of medical personnel that will, perhaps very soon, be needed to administer these therapies and manufacture the necessary consumables.
In 2020, clinical work still only creeps forward and life expectancy remains obstinately constant.
But finally, for the first time in the history of humanity, there is confidence that civilization's greatest scourge will soon be conquered.
-- Dr. Aubrey de Grey is a geneticist at Cambridge University and the head of the SENS project. He claims average human life spans could soon be extended by hundreds of years.

Of course, that's easy to do when I takes 10 years to make a single advance in grade, but when your rank and next grade level depends on getting the mission done to perfection, then ... the fun sort of goes out it.

Increased life span is good? And people will no doubt stop procreating, right? And over population won't become a problem, right? I'm thinking here about Arthur C. Increased life span is good? And people will no doubt stop procreating, right? And over population won't become a problem, right? I'm thinking here about Arthur C. Clarke's The Hammer of God and the Popes speech in that book. The govt's won't have a choice but to cull the human herd of its teaming masses. Like I said, Get that bio-nuke fallout shelter built and stocked in a hurry.
Agreed I could exist on good Asian noodles and soup in my Shelter. How's your Hot and Sour Soup recipe?
Like I said, looks like you got a lot o' customers coming

I don't see the point of the body lasting longer if the brain doesn't follow.
:lmao: I know some people whose brains stopped following at age 12 and I don't mean the Clinically Developmentally Disabled!
