I couldn’t help noticing ... in the small collection of Star Wars fans who camped out outside of the Century Theater yesterday .. (45 to 50 people at 3 PM when I went by) ... waiting for the new Star wars movie to start (they all had purchased their tickets all ready) .... that there were only 2 or 3 girls hanging out with the 45 some odd guys who were there.

This doesn’t seem to be the audience mix for a “chick flick”.

Are women interested in the new Star Wars movies at all at all?
Or are they just interested in the guys who are interested in the new Star Wars movies?

And if so .... why?

Conan O'Brien's "Insult Dog" hand puppet comic looks at the line of Star Wars fans .. in full costume ... waiting for the latest Star Wars movie to open.
He speaks to the teenage girl dressed as Princess Leia as she stands next to a guy dressed as Darth Vader, and another dressed as Luke Skywalker.

"How does it feel to know that not a single one of these guys has any idea of how to sexually satisfy you?"

The girl bursts out laughing .. nodding in agreement.

It is possible that a certain number of those guys standing in line to buy advance tickets were husbands, boyfriends, sons, uncles, whatever, buying tickets for 2 or for the family.
If no one did a survey, "Say, Fella, are you standing in line to buy a ticket just for yourself or are you a real gentleman and also buying a ticket for your mom/sis/wife/girlfriend/daughter?" then we just won't know.

Personally I like "Macho Movies". Rippling muscles, romantic capes and swords, sweating (since it's a movie I can fantasize that the sweat smells good and sexy), butt hugging uniforms voice in head....I think it's getting warm in here...
Manly Men doing Manly Man Stuff voice in head....I am definately getting warm...may have to wake up Rainmaker

Ah, Good Night
MaryAlice Psssst, Rainmaker, are you asleep Honey? Wanna wake up Sweetie?
