Are we THAT special?

Why is it that on every show I hear about alleged space aliens, it makes it sound like Earth is so special? I mean, if the universe has intelligent life (which I believe that it does) throughout, why would aliens only visit here? I believe that there are species of "aliens" whose particular socities are in their stone age, some are in their bronze age, others are in the age that we are in, some are probably going extinct even as I write this. What I am trying to say is that I have never heard on any interview/format about aliens that are observing/visiting Earth observing/visiting other races/planets clandestinely, as well.

I really find it hard to believe that, out of the entire Milky Way and beyond, that Earth/Humans are the only things that interest the aliens that might be visiting us.

I don't think that we are that special, people. If you have heard any interviews about the aliens that are watching us watching other planets too, please let me know.

Excellent question btw.

I think one of many reasons is that we humans are beyond egocentric in terms of thinking that we are one, if not the most highly evolved and intelligent bio-organism in the universe.....we often fail to see the big picture as we are a very self absorbed life form.

I agree that there must be more interesting species and perhaps planets and dimensions that other more highly "evolved" life forms would take interest in and visit.

I can't recall right now if I've ever heard or seen an interview about what you ask.

The closest that comes to mind right now is Dr Michael Salla's site on Exopolitics...he has been a guest on Coast and various other talk shows.

What living being would not be in awe of the range and scope of life on this world !! The complex systems that govern them, The diverse and wonderous beauty of it all.....do not sell your world short, there is a great deal here worth examining!

Excellent point CD...imho....yes, this world, planet and systems here are of wonderous beauty and awe...it's so sad that the majority of bio-enitities here make if a very ugly place...however one of "sociological" interest on a much grander scale of course :)

I tend to agree with Alpha, but to put my own down to earth spin on it, it is our own arrogance, our own concept of importance that takes away from entertaning the idea of other advanced civilazitions!

Unfortuntaely, we have not got beyond the barrier of,'what does it mean for me.' for us humans on Earth'.And of course, religions that have indoctrinated us into their little self-richeous group!
Until we loose the sranglehold of religions, and politics(which were designed to enslave us), we will never find the truth!

You think you know the truth, well, just differ from your local environment, your local religious parameters, then see how tolerant they are of your heritical beliefs!
