I found a reference to an uncommon rose called the Arthur Bell;

here's a link. (http://www.uncommonrose.biz/r/arthurbell.html)

In researching this rose I found for whom it was named;

Saint Arthur Bell. (http://www.catholic-forum.com/saints/saintaho.htm)

Researching further, I bumped into this Scotch whisky;

Arthur Bell and Sons. (http://www.ne.jp/asahi/miniature/smallworld/ScotchB2.htm)

Fun stuff! :Aliensmil

So maybe somebody got drunk on the whiskey while trying to come up with a name for the rose. :drink:

COOL! 2 of my fave things, roses and Scotch Whiskey! No wonder I just automatically like Art, no matter what :D

Now, if I had the time and resources for hybridizing, I would Hybridize an Orchid and name it the Art Bell. Something in the Masdevallia species. There 's already a Masdevallia called "Dracula" :cool:

Thanks NightCat :D
