I made an IW browser bookmark icon to share with those who want it, but I our attachments don't allow .ico extentions. So, I put it in a zip file as an attachment to this post. (It only contains one icon)

done, installed, but it is just too complex for such a small size. We should make one in an icon editor later, but this is a good start for sure!

Thanks crossfire :)

edit: 8 minutes from posting this to having it installed - I am responsive to suggestions guys!

I think 'IMW' or 'IW' or even just 'I' is fine, it is just the font I used, and the extra circle don't translate well... icons need to be sort of stripped down version of whatever logo is used usually.

Hmm, making icons is fun, even though this one only makes tiny icons. An icon editor does a much better job than other applications. (I need practice, though.)

Icons are perhaps the hardest graphic design element to do properly.

It will always be small, there are only 2 acceptable sizes: 16x16 and 32x32.

Gonna check out the new one now.

Same problem, the I and M are way too small... just as an example, here is a fast one I did, to show what scale things need to be in to be legible...

I second everything Alpha said above. Hope we get tutorials with all of the new innovations!

If there is something you don't understand, you have to alert me to that fact... I assume everything is OK unless I hear otherwise. I will gladly make tutorials, but not if no one needs them. Please post any Qs you may have in the help desk.

As far as what we are discussing here, you don't really need to understand it... it is not something anyone will interact with or do anything with.

Of course, the best way to figure anything out: favicon :) But, I am not saying this as a cop-out, go-read-for-yourself, I am more than happy to answer Qs.
