Here are three pictures taken out my home/office window, which faces the birdfeeder and back yard. We had a few guests today.
The little birds usually come first...

We have black squirrels....

and the gray squirrels.

These were taken on a Canon Rebel EOS-G with a Sigma 400mm lens, and 400 speed film, which was then developed, and scanned to a JPG. Yeah, I know, I should have a digital camera.

I forgot to mention I like your shots. I like the red on that birds head and chest.

And I missed one just like that on the property auction. Sold for $125. I had my starter bid for $100.00. CRAP!!!

I'll post some more soon. We're still feeding them the rest of the corn and the North Dakota black sunflower seeds. Some more varieties have visited, and the Robins have returned. Still no bats.
I did see two honeybees, and one carpenter bee today.

Driving home yesterday I had to stop for one red slider turtle ... a few car lengths later I had to break for a huge bull snake; all within a half mile of my house. I'd left my camera at the house.

Yeah, isn't the way that always is Topper.
Guess we should always have those cameras and batteries charged....think of all those lost opportunities :sigh:
Oh well...me as well....real life gets in the way so often, or what we have been fed to believe it is......
Would have loved to seen that shot.

Fun picture. I was working in the home studio tonight, and the "boys" were in sleeping on top of the desk....

Any bats there yet, VOguy?
If you are near a maternal colony, the babies are all born in early June and fly at about 5 weeks or so (depending on the type of bat)... have you seen any yet? I am so worried about the bats this year with the White Nose Syndrome happening to colonies (especially in the Northeast) :darkangel:

Not that I have seen. I usually look up in the sky for them. The only thing that has been darting around has been the Swallows that have taken refuge in the barn of the old folks home down the road.
Also no Blue Jays, or Crows. However, sometimes the crows only show up in the fall.
We have some houses out for the bats, but no takers yet.
Oh, I did see one Hummingbird last Friday out front, checking out the butterfly bush. That reminds me, I need to set out some food for them.
