Pentagon To Gas Crystal City Residents

Substance is harmless, assures newspaper, but terror paranoia fearmongering is contagious Paul Joseph Watson

The Pentagon has assured residents of Crystal City, Virginia, that the gases they will release downtown on Thursday are completely harmless, while on the other hand secretly hoping that the fearmongering about imminent biological terror attacks the tests are set to generate is contagious.
"The Pentagon is scheduled to release an odorless, invisible, and yes, harmless, gases into the city Thursday to test how quickly they spread through buildings, officials said."

"The test is part of the military's national security preparation for the capital area," reports The Examiner (http://www.examiner.com/a-1251975%7EPentagon_to_test_invisible_gases_in_Crys tal_City.html).

The Pentagon will release perfluorocarbon tracers as well as sulfur hexafluoride amongst the general public without their consent, a practice that would otherwise be illegal in a free society.

Urban Shield: Crystal City Urban Transport Study will be another opportunity for the media to show armed men barking orders at citizens while trusted officials in hazmat suits deal with the deadly outbreak that's "inevitably" going to happen for real somewhere down the line, we are constantly reminded.

Which country or terror group has the capability to release weaponized biological agents other than the government isn't made clear but I presume it's some offshoot of Saddam Hussein's fabled UAV drone armies (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,79450,00.html).

Since the only biological agents released in the U.S. came directly from Uncle Sam, including the 2001 anthrax attacks (http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2002/01/26/assaad/), citizens of Crystal City might have pause for thought.

Residents should probably be thankful that the Pentagon at least told them in advance of the tests, unlike the New Yorkers exposed to Bacillus globigii in 1966.

The fact that U.S. veterans were used as guinea pigs for 50 years (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/file_on_4/4701196.stm)during tests under the banner of Project SHAD and other programs involving deadly substances, including sarin nerve gas, without their knowledge or consent , reminds us that some were not so lucky.

Be afraid of the fake, non-existent 'terrorists' - ie: fear your government.

Would you protest if they wanted to do this in your city?

Suppose they're going to 'suit-up' like in the photo. And if so, why, for a harmless gas? I'm beginning to feel more and more like a guinea pig everyday!

Well, I guess they would say they have to test in full gear, and the harmless gas is used to trace where it was able to penetrate.

The question really is, why is this such an important thing to test? Do they drill fire escapes as hard? Large car accidents? Natural disasters? What is the actual chance this will ever be used?

Yes, fine, plan for the worst, but at least prioritize the probable.

Exactly when did we cross the line from trusting our government to fearing it? Does anyone remember?

I think it started in the 70s, when information started to sneak out that they were not being square with us. At the time many, especially those of the older generation, thought this was in the guise of national security. But as the divisions between classes started to widen, I think people started to get real suspicious.

In the 80s and 90s, people started to really think when they saw government officials getting rich on unsecured business ventures. And now, with the ability of get real time info, and exchange it like we're doing now, that trust is at an all time low .... with due reason.

I think it was Sept 12th, 2001 when all news agencies simultaneously started agreeing Osama bin Laden was responsible. That was the last straw for me
