How close does art imitate life?

We have all seen it,right in front of our eyes, yet we often dismiss it as entertainment. From the Lone Gunman episode about a plane crashing into the WTC,to numerous other conspiracy topics. Is Hollywood and the PTB,trying to tell those of us in the know, that many things are going on?Are they doing this in such a way as to mesh it with other general entertainment so that the masse never make the connections?

This subject goes back for several decades.Remember the TV series "V"?Amidst their credits were a dedication to all who love their freedom. That series was about a reptilian race that tricked and seduced the human race for their own gain, and sounds very much akin to David's Icke's theories about the Reptilian race here on Earth.

There are also many programs running on TV about alien abduction, government coverups, and so on.It all makes me think that someone is trying to tell us,"Hey,wake up".

Is it possible that there are factions in the media/entertainment that desire to tell us what is happening? If so,who is behind this faction? What do you think?

CB I have another take on all of this. I am not a big conspiracy theorist.

You do the read the future thing don't you? Sometimes when you have been out of body don't you come back knowing things? Very near future events? If you say no I would be very surprised. And if you aren't consciously aware of future events, isn't there an echo of knowing in you when huge events happen?

Is it possible that instead of being fed these types of events by an outside agency that the aforementioned people either:

    A) Read the collective conscious very well and glean likely future events out of the knowing that the coll. con. would already have, or

    B) Write scripts that strike a chord with the collective consciousness that we (the coll. con.) then accept, so that the event on screen or something very similar to that event could/will happen?

As someone who is cosmically in touch, you must be in aware of the laws of attraction so B is possible, although I personally don't discount A as a possible likely scenario either.

Shecoda,it is very possible that certain people in the entertainment industry are intuitive as well.My experience with astral experiences has taught me that events happen first in the astral plane before they happen here. This is the reason why intuits and psychics can pick up on these things,as they tap into the fifth dimension where the events have already taken place, outside of time as we know it.

    Most interesting issue, CB.

I have no doubt that many artists may indeed tap in to the "cosmic consciousness", alternate universes, timelines, the astral, have some psychic ability perhaps, remote view or any comination of.

Do they then, use this "foresight" to warn or describe future events?....perhaps, in many cases.

Or could this be somewhat more sinister, in some instances?

Could the arts, perhaps, be being uses as a "petrie dish" of sorts, to both test public reaction to scenarios presented as fiction and/or to precondition the general populace of what really is and things to come.

Certainly the media is used in this way for many socio/policital issues...why not in this realm.

Here's an example I've posted on the Alex Jones deck that illustrates just that.

Yes,I think we are being conditioned, using the media,TV,and movies. The History channel is full of UFO plots, stories, speculation etc.The same seems to be happeneing with certain paranormal subjects as well, especially ghosts, hauntings, and pyschic abilities.

Perhaps it is not such a sinister plot at all.Maybe the PTB are merely trying to introduce these things slowly as to avoid a true culture shock and disintigration? It does seem obvious that someone is leaking, suggesting, or planting ideas for movie plots,TV shows etc.

The whole Reptilian thing seems a bit far fetched, but then again,I have some David Icke video lectures, and he is fairly convincing.

I'm sure there are some remote Reptillians out there who think the whole humanoid thing seems a bit far fetched.

On a more serious note, I'll be starting a thread at some point about the Reptillians....gorm has touched on this topic in many of his threads....but, back to the topic at hand...

Yeah, perhaps it's a preconditioning of sorts to ease introduction to some major paradigm shifts.

Not sure though. I think back to Art's two day session with the topic being "aliens, friend or foe"....paraphrase.

With the exception of ET ( the movie) there are very few artistic endeavours that paint ETI in a positive, benevolent and friendly light.

Now take a topic like "mind control" with the first release of the Manchurian Candidate back in 1962, it's suppression and now the release of the 2004 film Manchurian Candidate. Could we use the same logic to suppose that the ptb are positively conditioning the populace to accept government mind control programs and the institution of matrix like realities. Then there's the Matix movie series......now "White Noise".

Visionary in an artistics sense or propoganda we don't understand....

As far as White Noise goes, I think it is art imitating life. Clearly somebody has been listening to C2C. I don't think it is preconditioning at all.

As far as most movies go, I personally think that they are the collective consciousness playing with ideas. Since as a group we get to decide where we want to go, we play out these scenarios in the movies to see if we want to do them in real life.

By doing so, we don't always create the scenario in real life, but we do things around the scenario as a result of the ideas introduced by the television and movie mediums, as well as in books.

For instance, because of movies about asteroid impacts, comets crashing to the Earth, etc. we now have a space probe that is going to impact a comet. I doesn't take a genius to see that one of the goals of the mission is to determine whether the make up of the comet will allow for somehow moving a future comet from potentially impacting our planet or whether blowing it up is another option. We haven't actually created a comet or asteroid impact on the Earth, but because of movies like these we are exploring potential ways to stop a comet/asteroid impact before it happens.

In this instance it could perhaps be said the doomsday asteroid impact movies led us into a future that we hadn't considered before i.e. that of protecting ourselves from an impact should the need ever arise.

    shecoda,

    You make many excellent points.

Guess my questions to your comment are:

...seems like an option in a future dimension.

What if these ideas, events have already transpired in this dimension and timeline, and in fact they are occurring in "real life"...what are our options then or more importantly, what is the reason for this artistic/media manifestation/portrayal?

Certainly, in your asteroid example, we have little known history and documentation to substantiate what has occurred from the beginning of what we call our "time" or reality.

However, we certainly do with other subjects, such as "after life/death communicaton" or call it from other dimensions, the astral plane, parallel universes or something more "concrete" perhaps as "mind control"....or even the manifestation of ETI, via "abduction", "visitation", "showing/sightings", "matrix reality", "crashes".

Guess my further question is, how do we have choices to protect ourselves from something that is, has been from the beginning of documented time as we know it, or seems to be, as it seems to have "arisen"...atleast in the reality that we seem to perceive and know it?...I hope that makes sense...

Options explored in the movies and on tv can be responses to current events, including possible solutions. Solutions proposed in movies aren't always viable, however, they can and quite often are used as springboards to discussions about possible other solutions. They propose what if scenarios, so we start thinking of how to solve the what ifs.

There are many reasons a movie would be made about a current event. One could be just pure entertainment. Another could be to reinforce the idea of heroes and that individuals can still make a change. Another could be to show that if we all stand together we can stop further damage by any particular current event.

I suppose the government could be feeding possible storylines/scripts to the studios to bring the ideas in the stories forward so when whatever is proposed in a movie is brought out into the public so that the government can deal effectively with a direction it wants to take a country. The public would then be primed to accept the direction in real life, or fight that direction thereby blocking that possible future scenario.

I think that a collective consciousness that wants to survive and move forward will always find a way to deal with possible doomsday scenarios by bringing these scenarios into the realm of public awareness in this physical reality so that solutions can be found and thus the scenario can be avoided.

I do however believe there is a learning curve. Perhaps some disasters need to happen to make the public aware of worse possible disasters that need to have solutions worked out before they happen.

For instance: The tsunami in Asia was extremely devastating. What it has done has brought forward public awareness that:

A tsunami warning system needs to be put in place to avoid further devastating loss of human life and......

that the possiblity of a much larger tsunami disaster looms in the form of the La Palma island volcano.

It also brings forward the idea that cities built on and near beaches, as well as houses built on the beach are potentially disasterous places to live. Many will still wish to live in these places, nothing will really change, but at least people will be informed of the possibility and know the risks. A movie about this subject might have changed how we reacted to the Asian event when it actually happened.

I left living on the beach years ago because I would lay awake at night and fret that there might be a tsunami one day . I love the beach but I just didn't feel safe. A movie about this would only have reinforced my idea that maybe living on the beach isn't a good thing to do in the long run.

In answer to the last question, you don't get out of this life alive anyway. I believe that, until we as a species become complete intuitives, disasters will always befall the human race. There will always be die offs of large amounts of people until we learn how to listen to ourselves. Luckily these types of disasters are few and far between. Unfotunately the long lengths of time between these disasters makes for a long term learning curve.

There is one more thing. I personally believe that we had plenty of warning regarding the tsunami. I had three tsunami dreams personally. At the same time I had my dreams, Geroge and Art both made mention that they were getting tons of fast blasts and emails from people who were also having tsunami dreams. Had we, as aware people of the 21st Century been more on top of things, we would have known that there was a tsunami imminent. Even if we aren't intuitive enough yet to pin it down to a specific date and time, we could have been astute enough to know we were being warned. We could have put a tsunami warning system in place, Thailand could have taken the warning it did receive seriously, etc.

Had a movie been done about this we might have put in place possible solutions. In this case the earthquake wouldn't be able to be stopped, nor would we have been able to stop the tsunami. How we responded to the tsunami could have been changed.

Perhaps movies as cautionary tales will cease to exist when we become aware of our own abilities to detect disasters.

If you are experiencing these things in real life, then you have drawn them to you by your beliefs about your reality. Besides, one of your selves has to experience every probability you can imagine.

Some really good points by everyone here.I myself can't say for sure that the movie about asteroids/comets did in fact cause us to actually investigate them close up or vice versa.Any space project of this magnitude has obviously been at least in it's infancy, several years back in time for all the planning involved. It would be interesting to see if the movie idea or the mission idea came first.

As already mentioned,I find it quite interesting that almost without exception, all alien entities are portrayed as very evil beings, with the exceptions being ET,and Starman.Of course there is always the tendency to fear the unknown, and I suppose that does influence things somewhat, but still it is a bit disturbing to see so many negative portrayals.Seems as if after all the early low budget alien type moveis of the late 50's and 60's where the beings were always evil,we had a brief period of more begnine aliens, but now we are back to the evil beings again.maybe much of this is merely the propensitity to fear the unknown, and less to do with manipulating or conditioning.

Actually the alien forces in the 4400 seem to have our best interests at heart. Also seemingly trying to make contact, but in a clumsy way, but still trying to work it out were the aliens in Taken. The truly enlightened aliens were the beings in Contact. The aliens in Close Encounters didn't seem all that intimidating either. Then there were the aliens in AI that revived the mother. They seemed pretty decent.

True Shecoda but Close encounters is quite an old movie, much closer to the ET Starman era.The Contact aliens were begnine for sure but were never seen and implied a much future actual contact time.
