Pretty cool, Project, maybe we can have our own open lines some night.
I remember conferencing long ago by dialing some 3 digit phone number the telephone company ran. 611 or something like that.
Then I discovered voice pager conferencing. Anyone ever do that before? The way it worked was you'd set your scanner up to monitor various pager frequencies in the 800 Mhz range and then listen for someone to give out a pager phone number for a pager receiving on one of those frequencies. Once you got that number, you simply called it and say whatever you wanted to say. Within seconds anyone else listening to that frequency would hear your voice page message. They could inturn call that number and do the same and reply to me. A little slow and inconvenient but it worked ~ until the pager company caught on and disabled that particular number. And of course if you were using some unsuspecting pager customers pager number to do this, you probably made someone mad for having to eventually change their number.
