IW Top 4 Mysteries of the Universe that You want answers to - Come Celebrate Our 4th Anniversary!


November 14th - 15th, 2008 marks the date that this place in the cyber, Imaginative Worlds was born.....four years ago in 2004.

I'm proud to say that we have changed, grown and evolved during this time for the better, unlike many internet forums who do not make it past their first year of inception.

Thanks to all of YOU, who make this the best place on the net to be, in this genre!!

Also, more than very special and heart felt thanks to Judee and her friend Pat for creating the wonderful graphic, in memory of Captain Beyond, that we are using this year, as our theme in his memory!!

Captain Beyond was always in search of the answers to the "Mysteries of our Universe".

In his memory, the theme of this year's anniversary celebration and what brought us together in the first place... the love for the Paranormal, the unusual, the unexplained and the journey and exploration for the truth, will be just that.

Help us celebrate by posting your input to the following:

If you could only have 4 definitive answers to the

“Mysteries of the Universe” -

What would they be and why?

i.e. what happens after physical death?, does karma exist?, origins of the cosmos, who built the pyramids?, do ETs exist, did we go to the moon?, who killed JFK? etc....whatever the 4 are for YOU!!

Let’s keep this going for the month of November. At the close of our celebration I will compile the results for the IW Top 4 for 2008!

I can probably figure everything else out for myself except this one:

Why do some humans seem to desire, and even insist upon, controlling the personal lives of others, and feel they have a right to dictate how everyone else should live their lives? And, how can we make them stop THAT?

I guess the four mysteries I would like answers to would be:

1. Why does the Universe seemingly have no end? How can that be?

2. How does the Universe create 'life', and why?

3. How did the Universe begin? Why did it begin?

4. What is our place in the order of things in the Universe?

Congratulations. 4 years seems like an eternity when you count every minute. Continued success and thanks for still not charging us.

I guess the greatest question for me would be why me? Why now? Why you? Why are we here? If there are no coincidences than what is our purpose? Email that off to me when you get a chance.

Fear. Why is it those who believe in no continuity after life, fear death?

Greed. Why it that those who have so much $ never spend it and want more?

If God exists, where did God come from?

If God doesn't exist where did matter come from?

Can you please have the answers back to me by Thursday my eighth grade son has a test next Friday. I'm a bit curious too.

To a wonderful community: those here, and those who drop in through the years, and those who have gone on before us. Many blessings and humbles thanks. It feels so peaceful here, even when tempers flare. We get to hash it out.

Why it that those who have so much $ never spend it and want more?

Because they are frugal. Because they need no more STUFF. Because they are financially responsible. When you don't spend every dime you earn, the money piles up, and that's a good thing. Money in the bank means others can borrow it to start businesses, buy homes, etc. MORE people should spend less and save more. You think that's a bad thing? We wouldn't be in this current economic mess if everyone had a nest egg instead of credit debt.

Say, maybe we can start a separate thread for discussing these questions elsewhere so not to make it difficult to identify the questions here?

Actually it was a haves vs. haves-nots Div. I should have been a lot more specific. I don't mean the responsible individuals, I was talking about those who hoard everything including our resources. I'm tired and it's been a l o n g day. I'm talking about those who are crooks on wall street, bankers, and the mortgage companies, etc.
