Some of you might be aware that I've been under a chiropractor's care
after lifting my grandson into his car sit. Last night during sleep I remember
waking up enough to sit up in bed, carefully twisting my upper body to the right
with my right arm supporting me when this loud popping noise was heard deep in the upper back. I laid myself down thinking I hope this won't hurt ... before I knew it I was deep inside my body looking at my vertebra hearing the thoughts
of someone trying to remotely adjust me.

THANKS it worked ... the chiropractor doesn't want to seem me for two weeks.

I'm sure a few readers will began to wonder if I'm fabricating when relaying my dream experiences. I assure you I'm just as normal as can be in a very dysfunctional world.

This morning I found myself hovering over a large work area of people that I can only describe as headquarters. I was brought there to observe ... don't have a clue why unless its related to my recent communication problems. Gawd
do I hope I was hovering in Redmond, Washington

Been thinking a lot on this topic lately - great thread! Here's a question... I've had one lucid dream - really shocked me and I did my best to just go with it. I tried to ask questions of my dream characters but did not get a really meaningful reply (which was a little disappointing).

However, the more I hung out, the more terrified I became. Nothing bad or nightmarish was happening... I just became very scared and eventually popped out of the dream panting. I started to have another one a week later, but became so frightened again, I stopped it cold.

That was about five years ago... my body still seems to remember the fear factor and even though I want to try this again, I don't think my body will let me until it feels a certain level of safety.

Has anyone experienced that or have an idea as to why the fear arises? I guess it feels as if something bad will jump out and "get me." Is that even possible?

Kam, you ask some very interesting questions, to which I have no answers to except for my personal experience.

First off, one can be lucid in one part of a dream and then revert back to a different state of consciousness, where the fear takes over...even from unknown cause.

For example, if you were still in that conscious state, you may have said to yourself this is only a dream and I have nothing to be afraid of because I can fly away, become invisible, transport myself to a different location etc.

The astral experience does not always maintain at the same level of consciousness, from my experience...we go in and out of lucid dreaming, just as we do with OBE's.

Another possibility is that there are some entities on the lower astral that are testing and playing with you and your fears to feed from that. They sometimes are the protectors of the astral if you will to prevent us from going there and the knowledge within.

This is a complex issue with no definitive answers.

Also our own fears, worries and our subconscious ...level of consciousness plays a part in this.

I'm looking forward to others input to your questions and this topic...just my experience and MHO

Kam, I have experienced this so many times.Often my OBE's are preceded by sleep paralysis, and often, a very strong fear as well. The fear during the paralysis actually kept me from going on to have an OBE.

I finally decided to face the fear down the next time, to actually not let myself be afraid. I let the paralysis happen and banished all fear, no matter what happened.

I soon found myself floating out of my body. You have to face the fear down for sure!

    I concur

This morning I fell back to sleep after turning on my TV to watch the weather
when I'm dreaming about a hardwood floor that badly needs moping.

When I read my horoscope it says MY ESP IS OFF and to not give advice today.

To the person with the hardwood floor I'd suggest you take your dog to the vet immediately.

Yes... CB you're right, facing the fear is the important part. I try to play this game in life as often as I can - sort of jump in and dare life to not be there for me. And when I look back on it all... I can see I have been supported at every point. The Universe just seems to want to be there for us no matter what we do... This is the matrix of safety I need to surround myself with when confronted by fear in the lucid dream.

Well... everything in its own time. Thanks all for your input and support!

For a few of us with sight its not uncommon to see multiply situations at once. I received a phone call from a friend today supporting what I typed
about, there will be two others who need to heed my advice.

There's something big going on in Rotterdam, I'm not sure what it is only that
we need to turn our attention in that direction.

Woke myself out of a strange altered state where I'm listening telepathically to my 75 year old Alaskan friend this morning. She was busy tell me that
my comment "Screw This" has upset a man who lives in California. I haven't directly spoken to him since 2002 when I lost my temper. LOL that's me
I just explode and then I move on.
My friend was talking inside my head telling me how concerned he was about my phone lines and billings. For some reason he really wants to make contact, I'm not opposed.

Later this afternoon that Alaskan friend phoned me to say how she woke herself up twice during the night because she was talking in her sleep.
LOL that's when I said NO KIDDING ... you also woke me up with all the chatter.

We had a good laugh ... I told her that the rely message experiment
    worked!

I had a bad one ... where I'm suppose to push the button
What button? If you've never been inside an old minute man missile silo
site you won't understand. For those who have I was seeing one of those
over sized clear plastic square key caps with the initials IT ... I was told to
    push it to launch.

OK Lets launch ... that's when I wake myself up asking myself what did I do that for?
