Thanks for putting up the actual documents Squid ....great find!!

Actually seeing the black and white text I'm sure makes it more real and believable for many

We had more than one thread on this topic so I merged the threads so all the info and discussion can be in one place...hope that's o.k.

    Thanks Alpha.

Yeah, I posted the documents hoping many people would be motivated to go download them for their private collections. The more servers/drives these end up on the better, as sites tend to come and go.

    Interesting stuff, IMHO.

Among other things, I wonder where these cryptonyms come from. Artichoke? Why? Is there a compound found in an artichoke that the CIA finds useful?

Now that's more than an interesting question on it's own....how do they come up with those cryptonyms...is there some rhyme, reason or code within them ...and information, knowledge or guesses anyone?

I read this, unexpectedly, in a bit I was checking out...

    What Was Project Artichoke?

The CIA initiated Project Artichoke in August 1951 at the direction of CIA director Walter Bedell Smith and the Agency's Scientific Intelligence Director, Dr. H. Marshall Chadwell. The code name "Artichoke" was selected with sardonic humor from the street appendage given to New York City gangster Ciro Terranova, who was referred to as "the Artichoke King." - source
    What do you think?
    Interesting article too.

Interesting article, and I've heard it's mention before you presented it here. I have no doubt it exists.

I just tracked over a new two page document when suddenly my printer was stopped .... hmmm so here's the link off the CIA's freedom of information library on this declassified document
that details there research on hypnosis to have sex with girls/woman dated 1951

Just another example of how I manage to be in the crossfire when researching my past and my biological father - this is what spooked Bill Pawelec after he witnessed it.
