IW's 5th Anniversary - Nov 14 - 15, 2009 - Days Past & Present with Many Thanks!

It's with great pride, thanks and journey to be able to initiate this celebration of IW's 5th Anniversary in the cyber.

This is something to be proud of and could not have ever been achieved without ALL of YOU!!
Before we begin our celebration and activities/threads related to it, there are a few things I would like to say.
This forum was born with a bunch of outcasts that were banned from another forum, for the most part for little reason ...some for more than thatand founded this space in the late hours of November 14, 2004.
This forum had it's rocky rides for the first 6 - 7 months or so, with the initial owners, the subsequent owners until Rick and I bought the Forum in June of 2005....and yeah, there were "rocky" rides...more than some...thank you for all staying with Project, CB and I
I would personally want to thank the original Founders, for their vison and tenacity for branching out on their own....you know who you are and Captain Beyond was one of them, Bobby, Bad Boy, CK, Thirsty, Alger...I hope I didn't leave anyone out.
I would also like to thank Gummer, for taking to forum over for a short period of time after ....well let's just say many thanks and for offering Rick and I the opportunity to carry it forward, when "priorities changed".
We have had many members come and go, rocky times and wonderful times, yet we are still here and thriving.
I would also like to thank:
Illy & CK who were here from the very beginning and for their contribution.
Gummer for trying to make things right and holding the fort.
Sean and Circledancer who were our heart, soul, best friends and right hand arms for a very long time, until they decided to branch out on their own....Thank YOU!!
Dera, who was the moderator with the mostest in many ways.
Muse, who has always given this forum her all with her wonderful graphics, the IW Store and so much more.
Project, our partner, without whom, we would not exist for all his effort and work on the tech end of our partnership....not to mention his wit and input. Without my wonderful friend and partner, P....Rick and I could have never entertained having IW in any way, without his support, partnership, friendship and heart........
Cross, for keeping the TO open and warm every night for years.
Judee and her friend Pat for the wonderful graphic and tribute to Rick and Judee's ongoing care and love for this forum.
Marlantis for all of your wonderful work, Gorm for all of your passion and quest...I thank you and miss you both.
Rick/CB for his ongoing passion to make IW a place of learning, journey and dialogue, despite his "demons"
All of the "moderators" here who keep an eye on this place, however we really don't have a lot of issues that other forums do and that speaks alot about the more than wonderful community we have here.
If I have left anyone else out in the history of IW, I sincerely apologize.
I would also like to thank all of you who have sent in monetary contributions to help me handle to cost of keeping IW up and running...Thank YOU all so much
Most of all, I want to thank ALL the MEMBERS here, as without you, your participation and support we would not exist.
As I wrote in the AnniversaryMember's Lounge thread, we can't keep the theme of year of anniversary to theme, much longer....getting too high in count, however that is a good thing!
This Year due to your input, we will have 3 Celebratory Threads:
1) Top 5 C2C/other Media Guest/Authors Researchers of all time.
2) Top 5 Favorite Threads on IW of All time...does not have to be within the recent year, but from the beginning.
3) Top 5 Things you like/love about IW and the Top 5 things we can do to improve and make this site better than it ever is/was.
I would please ask you all to read and input to this thread in remembrance of times gone by over the last 5 years, your memories, your input for just that and wait for the threads for the above topics to get posted, before you offer your input to the three topics.
I will try to get this done in the next couple of days.
Thank YOU ALL for being the wonderful Explorers and souls that you all are , as without YOU ALL, IW cannot exist...much love to all
It truly is a privilege to know You All!!
Let's gear up for a great PARTY....and all of you who read here, bump an old thread of interest up.....dig down in our archives here...we have some great stuff IMHO that was posted with much time, heart and hope for discussion and a step closer to resolution and the truth!!
My personal wish for this Anniversary, it that all of us come back home to one place as we were, as we could and should be, yet perhaps that cannot be....up to all of YOU!! Unitied we stand...Divided we fall...and it doesn't matter who is where or what, it should matter about what is, could be and tlhe quest for TRUTH...and some fun in between

To the ongoing QUEST FOR WHAT IS or may not be...I count on All of you to do just that ....and I'm sure that would put a huge smile of Rick's face and most importantly to and for, his soul, energy and memory....
