HAMS advice, help (and anybody else too)

Maybe I should have put this in "Possibly Prophetic Dreams" but I don't know if our HAMS ever look there. I am feeling "compelled" to seek out our resident HAMS
This morning, 03/23/10, I had a vivid dream that may be significant.
Most of it may be personal messages, but one part of the dream needs to be shared, advice sought.

It was sort of dark. There was a metal box, black and battered looking. It was sitting on a table. There were markings on the front: 215 and 725, and there was a shiny toggle switch.
Somewhere there was a microphone. It didn't look like a Ham Radio, no dials, knobs, indicators. It was just a plain, slightly battered looking black box.
Yet I heard a woman's voice say, in that "radio voice", "CQ, CQ, this is 215, please come in CQ". Some moments passed, she flipped the toggle and said, in those same tones, "CQ, CQ, this is 725, please come in CQ.".
This was repeated a number of times. One time, when the toggle indicated it was 725, she said, "CQ, CQ, this is 215, please come in CQ". She noticed the mistake and corrected it in her announcement.

Even in the dream state I can sometimes tell myself to remember the important things and to even pull out other important details. As I was walking Bessie and meditating on the dream it came to me that I must ask our Hams about this.
Are 215 and 725 actual radio frequencies? Do they have any significance?
As I was walking Bessie, breathing in the cold, sweet air, gazing at the buttermilk sky above and the snow covered mountains ahead, it occurred to me this could be the Black Box from a crashed air plane.
But why 2 different sets of numbers on one box?
    I appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

I'm not the person to anser this, but.......

Googling "Flight 215" and "Flight 725" brings up some interesting results:

As with all spiritual/intuitive/etc stuff, dates are important, and rarely given. Could be a future thing, too.

VO is the one for this, Mary. But, earthist, your research is COMPELLING, to say the least. I never dream things like this. Mine are more personal.

Fascinating. I hope someone can help you unravel it.

Very Interesting! I had no idea about those flights. Both had incidents involving the Lavatory. Your contribution may be a valid puzzle piece. But I am certain that important puzzle pieces are also from the Ham Radio aspect of the dream.
Or maybe not even Ham Radio frequencies, but in my dream it seemed like Ham Radio frequencies so I would ask our resident experts on such things.
    Thanks!

Decoding this a bit from the ham radio side, (Earthist did a good job of the meaning of the numbers), the first obvious connection is the "CQ CQ". CQ, spoken or in Morse Code means "calling anyone" or "I'm looking for a contact".

215 is not a meaningful number. Hams don't have ten codes like CBers (10-4 = OK or Yes), and the normal ten code goes to 99. There are some exceptions in law enforcement, but each department has it's own signaling.

But 215 might be 2125, or 2.125 which is one of the maritime distress SSB frequencies. The more modern FM equipment in the 150 MHz band works fairly well on the lakes, and SatRadio is OK as long as you don't have cloud cover, but 2125 SSB cuts through a lot. If you watch Deadliest Catch and their audio on the radio sounds a little strange, that's a good indication they are using good ol' Single Sideband for communications. FWIW, the military still uses SSB on some of their comms.

725 could be a frequency as well, in fact it has some meaning for me, as I hang out a lot on 40 meters or around 7.25 MHz. Mostly SSB, but there are some people running other modes as well.

Other than that, I don't know what to make out of it.

Thought some of you would like to see these, speaking of ham radio...

Then again, it all starts by getting "the knack"......

Sometime just for fun I'll have to send you a "radiogram". It's like a Western Union Telegram, but it's all handled by hams. I give the message to one of the traffic nets in the area, they pass it your way till it gets to someone close enough to hand deliver the message or call you with the context. It's sort of fun.

Mary, I'm being a fly on the wall... I am interested to see how this will play out. You've had some great input from people here.
