The solar ovens are a great idea if you live in a sunny area like the deserts of the south west. With all the chemtrails these days the PTB will make there usefulness difficult. I like the campfire. At least in my part of the world there is lots of wood and it's free. Thanks for the info.

The Dutch oven still needs a heat source doesn't it? Solar, propane, fire. Something to heat it up? Sorry pyrite. I'm a little grumpy today. I was playing golf on the web and posted IW's web address on the chat window. The player went to the site, said no thanks and left the game. We were only on the third hole. Didn't even want to be associated with me because of the topics at IW. I feel so alone.

Thanks for the info, pyrite...just starting to run this subject through my brain. All these are a help.

i think you can use wood/charcoal and build a fire that the oven sits down in like a pit, and you can bake or roast or boil soup but they can be stacked on top of each other so you only need one fire...
