    H.P. Lovecraft's The Mound

    H.P. Lovecraft's The Mound

Is my favorite short story of all time. The story is spell binding, and is a precursor to the modern day works of George Knapp's "hunt for the skinwalker" and John Keel's "mothman".

The Mound is a work of fiction, that feels very much to have a relation to the high strangeness that so often frequents Coast to coast am radio.

It could have been a Richard Schaver story for it relates to subtaranean races of highly technologically advanced people.

It reads like it was a modern tale influenced by Zacharia Sitchin and the Gods of old coming from space and starting all of mankind.

The story reads like Lovecraft was actually in a strange civilisation and came back to tell us all about it.

Follow the link at the top, the story is free and on the net.

    Happy Reading

The lovecraft mythos is a contagious energy, a life form, it is capable of carrying on it's own life in the minds and work of others. Such is the genius of Lovecraft, he didn't just give us a fish, by reading him, he taught us all how to fish. Granted the fish are perverse and may just as likely eat you as you they, but hey, it beats the hell out of the breaded fish sticks most authors bandy about as sustainance.

Why,,,,everlong by foo fighters just started playing on the radio. And how is that synchronicity? Because the everlong video is a tribute to the Evil Dead movies. The Evil Dead movies are predicated on the fictitious book "The Necronomicon" which is the grand daddy of the fish that will eat you from the Lovecraft mythos.

    Too Cool.

Ever read "The Illuminatis Trilogy" by Robert Anton Wilson???
It's good. I wouldn't say great, but solid.
Cthulu shows up in it, Lovecraft has a conversation with some one and they ask him why he keeps telling the truth in his novels?????? Doesn't he know that will get him killed?????

HP is one of my top favourite writers. I know someone here that has their PHD in english lit, and their thesis was on HP's collaborations and inspirations (focusing on dunsanian stuff). Quite fascinating to talk to.
