Yeah, I agree totally Alpha. Many people nowadays seem to have this sense of entitlement. They are not willing to put out things for free for others, yet they want others to do so for them.

My old hippie friend pointed out to me that when she lived in communes back in the day, where everyone was supposed to contribute and things were "given" to each other, well only a few did the work and a lot of the people lived off of those few until the few burned out. That is why communes largely failed. (My friend was one of those that worked her @ss off, and got taken advantage of.)

On a forum I am on that follows mixed martial arts fights, some people bitch and complain that they should get to watch all the fights for free- that it isn't fair that the UFC charges a PPV fee. Even though, with minimal effort, they could drive to a bar that shows it for free or a minimal cost- way less than the PPV cost. Not to mention that if the UFC doesn't generate money, they can't pay the fighters or the ref's etc.

But, I guess it is easier to complain than make a positive contribution.

I don't pay for Rense anymore, he complains too much and he is losing grip on reality like Alex Jones. Plus, I think he is some sort of celibate christian or something.

Basic TV is free. You can get a little TV at the thrift store for ten bucks. If you like a lot of stuff that TV has to offer (like me), you can pay for cable and get a DVR. I find it very much worth it. Then you never have to see a commercial again. Radio doesn't offer much, so I have little interest to tape shows and skip the commercials. It is pretty gross to hear the number of commercials that is on the radio these days. I remember when there were far far far far fewer commercials - and back then, there were still entertaining DJs and folks on the radio. Today it is all just pure corporate crap. Snorry knows he is just there to push ads. He's pretty clear about that, I'm sure.

Like I say, with TV, you can skip this crap pure and simple. But they are actually trying to make some TV commercials now that are entertaining. I've seen some. I will watch those. They have learned that everyone is going to eventually skip all of it UNLESS THEY COME OUT WITH SOMETHING MUCH BETTER.

Even if Jesus Christ came back to sit down with Snorry and smoke a joint, I doubt I would listen to it. I would have to listen to 40 minutes of prostate and hemorrhoid commercials first. Sorry Jesus.

I think a lot of people do podcasts and websites because it is their hobby. They enjoy it. We all have hobbies.

How do you get basic TV for free?...that's BS....antenna TV..FREE TV died a while ago....and the thrift store doesn't sell it.

Most TV is pure junk, IMO...i rarely turn it on.

Enjoy your TV hobby Nemo, as well as you trying to stir up BS crap...it's your forte it seems.

Quit trolling...bad Karma, but despite, I won't have you engage folks who don't know you with this BS...consider yourself warned!

You really have something of value to say, then let's see it..if not, ride back into your sunset and good luck

I guess you are right about TV. I think they turned it all over to digital or HD or something. But if you have a basic TV, you can get the network stations for free - at least you can in the United States.

And I will defend TV. You might call everyone a troll who does not agree with you about something, but my points are quite valid. You will not build an audience by demanding that everyone think as you do. Why the hate? Why the 'warning.' Warning about what? I get incredible shows on TV. I can see conspiracy shows by Jesse Ventura; I can see beautiful underwater shows in HD; exotic travel shows that show me the world and the amazing cities in it; I can watch mountain climbers; I can find out about other cultures and their beliefs and rituals; I can have someone make me laugh and cheer me up; I can see a great mystery story set in a different time period; I can see a great show about the Roman Empire; I can hear the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra or a great singer or band.... well, I can go on and on. It is simply a matter of selection. With 399 channels going on, a person can usually find something of great value. And I recommend a big plasma flat screen to really get into it.

I can never understand people who insist that TV is garbage. It is a sort of prejudice based on ignorance about what is on it today.

I missed this when you posted is Alpha. I do get free TV. I'm on an antenna, and I get 20 channels that mostly come from Portland. A few come from Salem. Public Broadcasting channel is my favorite, as it's got so many quality shows on it. They have Masterpiece Theater produced in the UK; Operas; Ballet; symphonies; Mystery Theater also produced in the UK, and my favorite - all the amazing travel shows! Most of the mainstream channels are junk, I agree with you on that.

In most places analogue signal is no longer available and if it is, it will end this year.

You are fortunate that you still have it...most don't.

Seems you have some interface that enables you to still get signal:

Anyway I am glad Rob Simone is on tonight. He did a great job IMO with his premiere performance on Coast...let's see what he does tonight.

Yes. After the show last evening, I went to bed and clicked the radio on as C2C repeats itself on the station from Portland that I listen to. I got to hear Simone from the very beginning. I was very impressed with his professionalism and how extremely well he was prepared for the show/guest. I would love to hear more of him, as I think he would get even better with time.

He sounded especially good to me. I hope he becomes a regular weekend guy. Didn't Geo. say last Thurs. nite that he was going to have Rob substitute often or was I dreaming?

Well Dera, you and I might both be dreaming. I'd swear on a bible that I heard Ian say weeks ago that he wouldn't be on so much in the future, and that 'others' would be guest hosting. And so, I guess I was dreaming also.
