Well then, perhaps the ancient Indian 'legends' about the Thunderbird are true! Exciting news.

Judee.. I was recently put in a book by Jonathan David Whitcomb, I had what is called a Pterosaurs sighting. He wrote my full account in his book. He sent me two copies and autographed them as well. I gave the account after I had the sighting. I saw it on the night of the Partial Eclipse of June 26th, this last summer, it looked almost like daylight outside, it was at night, like many of the sightings are. The moon lit everything up. Not knowing who to contact about something so bizarre to me as that, I was on the way to pick my daughter up at her job. When I picked her up and told her, I was still in wow over it.. When it went over the top of my vehicle I said outloud "what the hell is that" then looked and watched it, glide away.. You would have to read my account in his book. I dont live near there any longer. But I know the exact mile marker of it and the whole bit. My daughter saw my face when I picked her up, she was like mom what did you see, another UFO rooftop.. LOL, we usually see those together but I told her what happened, and then she told me she just barely saw a show on TV about sightings being seen in many places across the U.S and globe. Anyway, I wrote on a blog, and Jonathan saw my post, I wasnt sure who to report it to.. Talk about pathological skeptics, this is common he said with folks that hear about it. But he wrote back and asked me questions and I told him of what I saw and told him I felt stupid to say the world "pterodactyl" to describe it but that was the only word I could come up with. I guess there are lots of folks seeing them. He rules out whther they are models etc or the real deal with the person that reports them and then he puts their stories in his book, he has a system to find out if the sighting was legitimate or not. I never knew sightings were happening, I felt better after he told me though. I guess the one I had was similar to another women who was in his book, I guess the way they are occur is very common. I saw the bone structure within its wings and the whole bit.. HUGE. Anyway, I wonder how all this fits in, were they never really extinct and always were here and found a way to survive or is this some weird cloning going on? anybody's guess is as good as another. The model ones are easy to disicern out he explained to me. etc. So now I watch for things like this when articles come out.

I envy you that sighting Jewels! Wouldn't that be wonderful if they had survived somehow? I'm assuming you were living close to a huge wilderness area? I believe that the world still holds some secrets! Thanks for sharing your experience.
