    I think I shot a demon

I was not lucid at the beginning of this dream, it was a typical nightmare. I found myself in a grocery store, with a rifle in my hands. There were no other people around - but I knew a creature was hunting me.

My adrenaline was pumping and I was afraid. I looked down an isle, and there I saw the creature. I aimed, and fired - but the bullet had no effect. That's when I knew was in deep shit.

I took off running, my trembling hands tried to reload the gun. The creature was in pursuit. Why didn't the bullet work?

I heard a calm but strong voice say "You cannot win with bullets of fear, know that you are the bullet." Upon hearing the voice my awareness increased and I became lucid.

My perspective shifted and I suddenly found myself looking through the point of view of a bullet. I watched 'myself' being loaded into the gun. The gun fired, and and I heard the most horrific demonic 'Noooooo!' scream I've ever heard in my life. Everything went black. I woke up.

It was just the horrific scream at the end when I woke up that gave me the impression it was a demon. I guess you could substitute demon for negative entity or whatever else you want.

I've heard there are entities on the astral plane that feed off negative emotions like fear.

    Anyway thanks for the welcome.

Yes, I have heard of that as well about the negative entities in the lower astral, who feed off ego energy like fear, anger etc. I have also heard that they may also do this, not only to feed, but to prevent entry to the higher astral realms.

Seems that by eliminating their source of power, you disabled them.

    Great first post!!

    Again Welcome to IW!!

    Hi Eric Welcome to IW
May I congratulate you on finding this place,,,it's pretty awesome.
Anyway,,,,on to your statement,,,,,I absolutely agree,,,,lots of critters fall into the heading of "demon" if you will,,,and,,,I commend you on opening up your mind to the possibility of other answers.
Here is just one example of what it could be,,,,it's a page here hypothesizing the ghost connection with what you are talking about.

Old Hag Syndrome, are night terrors caused by ghosts?
