The mess is indeed cleaned up finally. It is strange that something designed to
save you in a emergency can cause one.
As for Coast, the show has changed which from my point of view is a shame but
it is the right of the Host doing the show to take it in the direction they see fit. I
have had many offers to join other Networks to compete if I wished BUT I have
decided that I do not wish to destroy what I built, or what is left of it.
I really am enjoying being Retired, I can be part of my Daughter's life as she grows
and it is a blast. I do miss all of you though. I am not saying I will not pick up a mike
one day, just not this day. I learned long ago, never say never.

just my opinion, but ...coast is not art's show...its clear channel and noory's gig now..it cannot be the same as when art had the program...art needs to drop the drama queen crap....the show reaches a larger audience, and isnt his personal podium....noory is who he is...and millions of people like him....george doesnt need to copy bell....hes successful because hes doing the show in his own style....some of us get irked by george's quirkiness, but thats his style...he is an entertainer and he is popular...Art's post on FB from Nov. 1, 2012 ....wonder why he is doing this?

My guess would be that there is some kind of battle, legal or not, going on behind the scenes. Was there a C2C radio show before Art? Did Art come up with that name does anyone know? C2C is synonymous with Art Bell, and perhaps he wants the name of the show changed to something else, and Clear Channel won't let Art have the name and change Noory's show. Just guessing here...Art's post on FB from Nov. 1, 2012 ....wonder why he is doing this?

If Art wants to continue on in radio, and start his own show again, I think he could do it with another name. When I think of C2C now, I don't think of the same show as when Art had it. But then, Art has changed too, and as py said, Noory has his own style and is well liked by a whole new audience.

I guess Art has a problem with the Somewhere in Time broadcast but other then that I doubt he has any legal recourse being he sold his interest in the show and all parts therein years ago and from what I understand, was paid quite handsomely for it.
I believe Art doesn't do a show simply because he has no desire to do so considering the time and work involved.
Well he hasn't retracted it yet DS and I assume that is his account was hacked, he would have done so by now.
I'm with py about the drama queen stuff...enough is enough.
As you said, he sold the show for much $$ and if he was careless enough to not get a good lawyer to give him any rights to his old shows...well than so be it...not much point in crying about it now.
If he really cared about the show and what he created, he could have chosen a) not to sell and b) to stay on with the show and keep it his own in style and vision.
He chose not to.
Most people who listen to Coast now, don't even know who Art Bell is and to py's point don't much care. Noory seems to be making his own mark and the show obviously isn't dying according to today's listeners and the affiliate count. One can't miss what one doesn't know and even the Coast of today beats anything on the regular airwaves at the time of night or anything that's on the tube. ...just saying.
Art shot himself, his show and his fans in the foot by his choices, his antics with his many retirements, his sale of the show and IMO it's about time he either manned up and accepted he did this to himself and/or if he really doesn't like it and wants to be in the lime light again, then do something constructive like start a new show to compete with Coast or a stand alone and move on.

Drama queen huh? It seems to me that Art may in fact regret giving up all rights to the show at this point. I'm not surprised. He seems like a very impulsive guy, and that would make sense. I don't see why people are bashing him for being a drama queen though... C2C shows are night and day better with Art Bell, and he is the very reason Coast has even a fraction of the listeners it has now. Personally, I can't stand the show as it is now. I try to listen to it every now and then, and I end up turning it off after 15 or 20 minutes tops. I wish Art would do a show of his own a couple times a week so all of this could be put behind him.
