You probably have some wierd BIOS installed that holds tools for your laptop... Try hitting either F12 or F1 when initial bootup screen comes up and see if it offers to let you boot from something else...

Need computer help!
. I could get the computer to boot in safe mode but not normal mode. I decided to format the hard drive. I attempted to make a boot disk, but it wouldn't work because i asked for the OS disk. I didn't have it. I formatted the hard drive and used a boot disk from an old laptop that had the same OS. Man did I screw up! The computer booted up, but lost the cd-rom driver. The boot disk I used only had the drivers for the specific laptop. I created another boot disk (win 98) from a link on the web, but it didn't work. The computer will only boot with the laptop disk. What should I do?
