    Wow that is weird Judee... does decaf affect you the same way? You can get some great decaf now. I do get the heart races when I drink too much caffeine, maybe it is just the combination of coffee compounds and caffeine together for you.

    Their bagged coffee is expensive as well and you can't tell when it is roasted. But hey it is better than dunkin donuts or mcdonalds coffee.

    I've heard sedentary people that never exercise either and thus have very weak hearts can have a heart attack after one cup of coffee or tea. Age doesn't seem to matter either. Some people can also have allergic reaction to coffee.

    Yeah, but tea doesn't have the slightest affect on my heart Div, even the teas with the most caffeine in them. There was a study done on heart attacks, and it seems that most heart attacks occurred in the morning, after people had their cup(s) of coffee. I've had the racing heart syndrome my whole life with coffee.

    I've never tried decaf Project, as to me it would be like eating spaghetti with no sauce. Also, I never liked the way coffee was made decaffeinated, but maybe I'll look into that again and see if I still have the same reaction.

    I occasionally take 180 mg of caffeine (via guarana) before my feet even hit the floor when I wake up and have something to do and got to get moving. It perks me up, more like a mood enhancer. Never noticed any adverse affect myself. But at the same time, I'll hit the bong a couple times and suck a cigarette down while shaving too. Then I'll start in on my energy drink after I get out of the shower. By then I'm feeling just fine and good to go.

    Oh, I figured out your issues with caffeine, ha: As with other plants producing caffeine, the high concentration of caffeine is a defensive toxin that repels pathogens from the berry and its seeds. LINK

    Some of you are apparently a pathogen.

    i meant you could buy from a coffee roaster or like my place on line..get fresh coffee by the bag rather than a cup...

    absolutely! Was just adding that their bagged coffee is nothing special either and god knows when it was roasted.

    Hmmm. One of the best cups of coffee I ever had came from a suggestion from Nemo (an old member from Seattle). It was COLD brewed. You can buy a cold brewer gizmo from Amazon, but there are other, cheaper, ways to make it. It takes a lot of coffee (and patience), but to me it tastes as good as a fresh can of coffee smells. I'm NOT selling anything, but you can find out how to do it on the Internet without any spendy brewer.

    Yup that is a method I have yet to try, you can do a cold extraction which is similar to how they make "essential oils". Will try it one day
