I first saw this on FB where it was shared by another mutual IW/FB friend. It is awesome.

For Judee and anyone else on Dial Up:
Basically this guy in India takes the large plastic soda bottles, cuts out a square of roofing tin, cuts a hole the size of the bottle in the roofing tin.
He fills the cleaned bottle with filtered or distilled water and some bleach. Screws on the top. Places the bottle a little more than half way down into the hole in the roofing tin, seals it it place with tape or something, then puts a good layer of sealant all around.
Cuts a square in the tin roof, installs the square of roofing tin with the bottle, seals all around.
The clean bottle filled with clean bleach water captures the sunlight and sends it down into the dark dwelling with what looks to be the same light given off by about a 60 watt bulb!
