Oh man today both AJ and Celente were rabid over the there banking deposits ... seems neither of em are familiar with the 1986 law that requires all banks to submit large deposit transactions to the feds.

Its not the fault of the average bank employee who literally hates this law as much as the consumer cause its overly invasive.

All either one of em had to do was say "its my business" and shut up.

But having said that I would agree that the FEDERAL RESERVE is using the funds before releasing the holds to play the interest game.

For those of you who don't know why this 1986 law was enacted they need to go research the Iran Contra Affair ... money laundering of drugs.

No one at any bank should have the right to ask why anyone is withdrawing their own $$ and then also saying that "uncle Sam" want to know when getting any resistance.

Celente made a good point though...no-one sure asks you where you got the $$ when you go to deposit it.

I see cash runs for 2012 like we have seen in Europe and other places...I should add that to the 2012 prediction list

That depends upon the amount of the deposit .... the paperwork has to be filled out ... most often without the depositor knowing. If you purchase travelers checks totaling over $2,000 the bank is still required to fill out the federal paper work
as to when, where, who and how. Again most often if the purchaser is an account holder they won't know that the bank had to input the data to the feds.

I don't care Why the government wants to spy on our bank accounts, it's still too invasive. I don't care that people were laundering money for illegal things. Money shouldn't be nearly as traceable as it is, IMHO. If I give you a bunch of cash, and everyone else gives you bunches of cash, and you swirl it around in a big tub with a stick, then carefully count out to each of us the amount of money we each gave you minus a small processing fee, you are a money launderer. Spending money on stuff, like TVs and cars, then later selling them, could also be considered money laundering. My money, and what I do with it is MY private business, not yours, not anyone else's. If there are other illegal things going on, like drugs being shipped, or guns, or something, then find the people doing that and arrest them.

I learned about a couple of elderly people who were thrown in prison for life because some druggie pointed them out as his drug dealers, and the only "evidence" they found was their entire life savings of cash they had been keeping under their bed. Not a very safe place to keep your money, granted, but it's Their Private Business, and Their Right to do so. So because they had no bank records showing where the money came from, the government proclaimed that they Must be drug dealers. That's BS!!!

When everyone switches to Bitcoin, no government in the world will be able to trace every last bitcoin and who it's going to, or why. Our money is OUR BUSINESS!!! They have no right to spy on us like that!
