It actually does look like an alien!In fact, if I had just seen the picture of that coin, without reading anything in this thread first, I would have said it actually looks like an insect to me. I can see small wings, and a definite insect body that comes to a point, much like a honey bee's body.
Of course, that's because of my web accelerator which has a tendency to distort pictures somewhat.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it looked more like a boy in the design stage and some detail was lost in the actual minting of the coin. However, it would seem to verify some of my suspicions about most of the Canadians I've met in my lifetime: they are, in fact, from another planet!
