The Vetting: Obama ally won't release Alinsky tape

Sources inform Breitbart.com today that Pam Dickler, director of the 1998 production of "The Love Song of Saul Alinsky" in Chicago that included a panel discussion featuring then-state Sen. Barack Obama, has a video tape of the play.

Dickler told our source that she doesn’t believe she’s ever watched the tape, and she doesn’t know if it “can be viewed.” But she added: “No one is going to see the tape.” ...

Mainstream journalists have attempted to dismiss yesterday's column by Andrew Breitbart about the play by claiming that Obama had merely attended the production -- a defense hinted at by Chicago Reader columnist Michael Miner's initial column.

This play thing does not seem worth killing over, that is for sure.

That is the point, it is fluff. There is nothing damning there at all except that he was a civil rights activist in college. I think most of us probably got involved in some cause in college.

I heard, read or someone told me that what was released was edited. Let's see if I can find anything.....

    OK...here it is:

.....Buzzfeed's selectively edited portion below and we will provide the entire clip after it is released....
Same video clip...here's the source which also includes a transcript for those who can't stream video.

Yeah it was edited, but in that context I think they just took out crap that doesn't involve him... not sure, but they would not have cut out the good stuff.

As a paranoid nut I think this may be a reverse thing, they are putting out video of him at college, which we have never seen any footage of before, in order to "prove" he was a person and has a past. This would also explain why they had to kill breitbart, if he caught on that this was fake or propaganda and he was being used to put it out. The white house could not release this since it was supposedly "bad press", so they needed to sucker a conservative blogger into releasing it for them.

    Diabolical.
