If we believe that "Hollywood" and film makers and etc have some "insider information" and base their movies on that "insider information", well...consider... of all the movies and TV Series that have been made, with the plot line of ET coming to Earth and making themselves known, very few depict them as non threatening or indifferent. The majority of made for TV movies, TV Series, and big screen movies depict ET as conquerors, or exterminators.
Anyway...like I always say....we'll find out soon enough.

Anyway, like Wolfpa I am counting supplies, but for a variety of reasons...living in earthquake and volcano country, everything else that's going on...and if I had a gun I'd be keeping it clean and ready.
"Just in case" can be just in case for a whole lot of things.
The newest, popular TV Series all about Alien Invasion is "Falling Skies". Season 2 began this past Sunday. The Series (even back to the Season 1 Pilot) picked up at some time after the invasion, with no backstory nor flashbacks to explain how "They" got here or exactly why "They" are here.
We learn why there are here, in Season 2.
There is an interesting scene in which one of the Human Freedom Fighters, played by Noah Wiley, was invited inside one of the ships. He is told there will be no peace, no detent.
What the Alien Invaders have planned, if the Humans surrender, is to locate the Humans in Safe Areas, where they can live out their lives.
The Alien, saying they've been studying Earthers, reminded Noah Wiley of things like the Re-location Camps for the Japanese in America during WWII, etc etc etc. The Alien went on to ask "Why should we treat you any better than your race has treated yourselves".
When Noah Wiley and several other humans were released from the Ship, they all got shot and killed, except Wiley...so he could carry the message back to his people.
Here's a leap....those FEMA Camps are built to re-locate Humans, just like in this TV Series, as part of an agreement between The Powers That Be and The Aliens.
