A water buffalo a large container, sometimes very heavy gauge plastic, to hold several gallons of fresh water. It's kinda like those big plastic kegs you see at picnics, that hold a beverage.

James just called, he's getting off work, and a friend and his wife are stopping by, so I might be signing off early if they're gonna want to visit.

Way back, I think people were so tired from a hard days work, they didn't even think or need to "unwind" because they were too dead tired from being either outdoors working etc.

I hear Judee though...these days people in many cases just want a pill for everything, rather than trying to find solutions and be accountable themselves.

Way back, I think pharmaceuticals started off by attempting to help mankind, but things got rotten in Denmark real quick. I shudder when I read now about the polio vaccine, what then knew yet released it and inoculated millions...and that's just one example.

Darn excellent point Alpha. Way back, people were indeed too tired to think of anything else except eating dinner, and relaxing after. That's one of the things gone wrong with humanity. People have lost touch with the 'earth', and the land. And that's not healthy. That's why society has become one of fast food, quick fixes, little exercise, and a fixation on technological entertainment and satisfaction above all else.

I challenge both of your definitions of "good"

I listen to all kinds of music, from Gregorian chant, Baroque, Classical, Blues, Jazz and yes rock......the Sinatra brat pack music just does nothing for me.

Different strokes for different folks I guess....and that's good!

Zerzan is so right....we can learn so much from our indigenous people, but do we do that??...hell no...we try to eradicate, assimilate, discount and humiliate them. It's sick.

And yes, now new mom's now think need a baby monitor to tell them allegedly what their baby's cry means....good grief

No problem. I listen to all kinds of music also. I just can't stand heavy rock/metal. I will leave a room if it's on. Now as for Georgian chant, and Baroque... Tried it more than once, but just couldn't stay awake.

I heard that, Missy! Oh well, Geo. N. plays a lot of golden oldies so it all balances out I suppose. I listen to old Art Bell shows and he played a lot of stuff that I didn't like. He played a lot of the same stuff over and over and I got so that like you with commercials, I just tuned it out. He played a lot of Gordon Lightfoot, Boom Boom Bah, that Dancing Queen thing by Alba (is that right?) that I really got sick of. Art had something that seemed to "zoom" around to me, and then there was another noise that reminded me of a bunch of cannibals with bones in the noses marching through a jungle. Isn't it good, however, that there is something for everyones' taste to choose from.

There's all kinds of "rock"...."heavy rock or heavy metal" is just one small sub genre of it.

{{{sigh}}} I hear you Alpha. We used to revere our elderly people for the knowledge they had. Now we push them aside because we think we know it all already. Same for the indigenous people. What we've done to them is more than criminal. I'm glad to see them getting something back from casinos.

And as for new mothers... don't even get me started. I don't think women today should be allowed to breed frankly, unless it can be proven they have a brain.

Yeah, Art overplayed....well IMO he did a lot of the same stuff. Some of it I like, like White Bird, but some like Faedra and yeah Dancing Queen by ABBA and a few others...well like you I tuned them out.

It's good that we arent' all the same and that we all don't like the same things...that would be so boring and we would have nothing to talk about or learn anything.
