Just checking in to let you know that Brisby and Mom are doing well. It's hard to believe that she'll only have been here for 72 hours early this afternoon.

She's made great progress and is a very smart little puppy. She's already figured out where the water comes out from the water filter and is trying to get it out herself.

We're also doing very well with doing all our business outside and getting huge praise and special treats when we do. She is what I have called a "poo - poo shark" and wants to eat her stuff the minute she finishes, so I always have to have a plastic bag and treats in my pocket!!!! I guess she was used to doing that in her puppy pen and I need to break that habit of hers

She just had her breakfast and is napping which is why I can get on the net right now...when she's awake she keeps me 150% occupied and right now can only go about 2 hours max before I have to take her outside so that she can relieve herself and to minimize accidents in the house....we had none yesterday which I think is great progress.

Here are some pics from yesterday.

I am using this thread as a blog of her growing up. Hope you all enjoy it too.

Congratulation on the new member of the family. I didn't know about your loss. I'm sure she only cares about your happiness and was involved in the little one choosing you. Hope to see more pics in the future. Wish I could get a dog. Golden Retriever is my favorite breed. Very sociable.

May I post a picture of my brothers 5 cats? They are huge. I don't know all their names yet but they definitely all have their own personalities.

Brisby definitely knows how to 'pose' for the camera Alpha! I love her little pink spotted belly.

Poo-poo shark eh? That a delicate term if I've ever heard one!

I am so much enjoying your Puppy Blog here Alpha Dogs, and especially puppies, are very sensitive to picking up our Energies, and I would say that Brisby is picking up on all your Love Energy!
Cesar Milan says that sometimes dogs eat their poo when they're missing some important nutrient. On his TV show, he broke a dog of doing that by giving the dog little pieces of banana.
But I'm sure you're doing everything exactly right for Brisby!

Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you all for your kind words and comments.

We are just starting on our 6th day together and I'm am still trying to figure out how I can get anything done around here!!!!!

I have some moments when she is asleep, but man oh man does she ever tire me out when she's awake.

Here is Ms Brisby conquering her Frisbee after breakfast this morning.

Yesterday, she had a fun time chasing me around the backyard while I was watering my Brugmansia. She seems to love the water and was fascinated by the water coming out of the hose. I wish I could have gotten some pictures of that, however not enough hands!!!

Sounds like she has more than bonded with you Alpha. And what a contented puppy Ms. Brisby looks like. I can't wait to see her color when she's older. In some of the shots you've posted, she looks almost white! Very striking little girl for sure.

Today marks the one week anniversary that Brisby came home.

She's really doing well for a little puppy...she'll be 10 weeks old tomorrow.

This morning I gave her the 2nd dose of her worming meds and I hope that they won't upset her stomach.

She really is a pretty confident little girl and she's discovering her voice...she actually let out a few little barks yesterday at her "Jolly Ball" which I have yet to be able to photograph her with.

Here are some pics from yesterday, Aug. 22, where she is exploring what I call my jungle!!

Here she is trying to figure out how she is going to get her big rope inside.

Did she ever get that rope inside Alpha? I don't know if it's me or not, but in a few of those pictures, she looks to me to have more of a 'grown-up' attitude already. I think it's more of a sense of self in her eyes. Has she discovered the pool yet?

....no she never got the rope inside. She got side tracked with something else and she also has a rope inside, so being a smart girl, maybe she figured out why bother!?!?!

She really seems to be a wise little canine soul for sure and nothing seems to rattle her which is good.

Pictures from yesterday, Aug. 23rd. Here she is attacking her first carrot.
