I really like Mike Adams too. I wish Coast would think about using him as a guest host periodically.

Oh, about a pound of left over prime rib, and a container of fancy mashed potatoes.
One night he had to prepare fresh chocolate covered strawberries. Of course he had to make some practice ones, so he brought those home!

Oh and now Mike is talking about nutrition You need to repair and protect your DNA.

I've been really lax in my food storage this last little while...I have to start making a list and adding to my pantry when I can again.

I"m going to put up a bunch of tomato sauce again this year mainly from my garden tomatoes and I many also buy some Italian plum tomatoes from a local farm up here.

Does anyone have a good recipe for dill pickles....preferably spicy?

That sounds so cool Mary...such nice treats for you both. I bet Baby would love a little piece of that prime rib too!!!

I don't think people need to get fanatical about it, but Mike is right...we have to become more aware of what our body needs and what we put into it.

I know that stuff like white bread and pasta are no, no's for these guys but I love the stuff so I still have some good bread and pasta in moderation but I try to eat as healthy as I can in other ways and avoid processed foods as much as possible. I even make all my own marinades, spice rubs, salad dressings myself. It takes a bit of effort but it's really not difficult, tastes much better and doesn't have all the chemicals that prepared one's do...just stuff like that helps.

Gardening not only nurtures our body, but IMO it nurtures us spiritually.

Nothing makes me feel better than being outside, barefoot on the grass, among all the greenery, all of natures life, and playing with the dirt...something very grounding and nourishing doing that.

"The Era of Mandatory Ignorance" ... that sounds about right...that sounds about the way it is.
Interesting, even with all the information that is available on the internet, too many people are still ignorant of what's important.

Or they can't bring themselves to believe it. They're too comfortable with what they believe.

I think there is also an "ignorance is bliss" component to it too Mary.

How many times haven't you or I talked to someone only to hear something like, I don't want to talk about that...it makes my head hurt.

People don't even want to read anymore but a sentence or 2, never mind a paragraph. Have you notice now that most news articles are written in single sentences and not paragraphs?

The internet is a wonderful and rich tool, but most want to use it to be entertained, NOT to find information or to learn anything

We live in an "entertain me now" era....one of entitlement and it's very, very sad......

Very well said. I've complained that "my head hurts" but that's after taking in a lot of info. But after a rest I'm right back at it.

I can't believe the short attention spans
