Hi! Did you know that Darwin did not recant anything at all? A lady evangelical who was known to lie allot was the one who started that idea. His daughter who was with him till the end said he did not recant. I believe the daughter more than some evangelical Christian. Religious zealots have been known to do many bad things in the name of God, or whatever. Personally I think science was born from religion, and an honest wish to better understand both the world, and the mind of God. The two do not have to be mutually exclusive. I believe in God, and evolution. Just like I believe in gravity and souls. Just because I'm Mormon doesn't mean I can't be open minded and accept science.

At church today I was getting upset by the hypocrisy and flaw in our teachings. For instance, we are supposed to be against war, totally, and try to be at peace with everyone, but we are commanded to be loyal to whatever government rules us in whatever country we live in, which means going to war, and being obedient. I refuse to put any of my loyalty into Any government, especially corrupt ones. I would have helped slaves escape their masters, I would have refused to join the military and go to prison during the draft. I would have fought against the Nazi party in Germany to the best of my ability! Screw this idea of being subject to Kings, Emperors, etc. No freaking way! I'm loyal to God, and my fellow brothers and sisters, the whole human race!

I will gladly disobey any law I consider to be unjust or immoral, and any command that is illegal or immoral. Screw being obedient to evil. I will never go against what I know to be right and good! Liberty!!

Oh, just in case you were curious, The Word of Wisdom is found here, http://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-tes...dc/89?lang=eng. Where does it say we can't have coffee or tea? It says no hot drinks, which I take literally to mean HOT drinks, not just hot coffee or hot tea, but also hot postum, hot cocoa, hot herbal tea, hot soup in a cup, hot chicken broth in a cup, etc. Hot drinks is so vague, it can include lots of things. I don't drink anything that is hot. I cool it before I drink it. I like chilled "hot" cocoa for instance.

Well, good night, I'm tired and going to bed.
