Best Free PC Audio Recorder for Streaming Audio

I am looking for suggestions for the best free PC audio recorder to record streaming audio from my PC.

It would be helpful if the software has both a scheduler (start and stop) and no file size limit.

    Thanks in advance.

You want to record the stream as it's happening live?

    Audacity would do it.
You would have to start and stop it.
No scheduler as far as I know

The only thing I could find was this... but I've never tried them so I can't speak as to how good they are/aren't.

At one time I used the Audigy 2 Platinum (2002) to record streams but it might not work with today's PC's (it didn't with mine). Your welcome to it if you want to try.

...thanks DS but I'm a total spaz when it come to electronics.

Appreciate the link...I will check these out. I am a "Time Traveler" however I would like to record some of Hoagies shows to see what it's all about...not going to pay $5/mo for that and it's on way too late here in EST.

What do you think of these?

Apparently there's a file called iobit.drivebuster that doesn't uninstall... might want to avoid these two programs.

Thank you blackstone, DS and Dracon. Your input is much appreciated!

I just DL'd Audacity. I'll test it over the weekend.
