Yogi became the new coach of the "New Breed's" 1969 World Series Champions, the amazing New York Mets. Immeadiatly after their beloved coach Gil Hodges suddenly passed away. Gil Hodges was born in Princeton, our county seat of Gibson in Southwest Indiana.
