Possibly prophetic Dream? Post 'em here!

Don't know what this means or if it even means anything, but I'll put it down anyway, just in case:

Last night/this AM, I had THREE different dreams seperated by periods of being wide awake (bathroom, letting cats in and out, smoking after being awakened by neighbours' crying infant etc.). They were VERY different dreams. In all of them, however, a commonality was present: a voice (probably "voices" more accurately... each was different...) would say "Broadway, near 42nd Street" or "Near 42nd and Broadway" or "By the New York Times building in Times Square -- just near 42nd" or "The old grey lady".

Was I hearing this in my dreams because George had been broadcasting from WABC? Nope. WABC is over on West 66th. Was 42nd and Broadway where the NY Times, in fact, is located? It's been a LONG time since I lived in NYC so I looked. YES, it IS on 42nd and Broadway and the NY Times (and her building) is indeed sometimes called the Grey Lady!

    So...

Once again, I don't know what it means but it sure feels like it means something... can't put my finger on it but it feels significant. So I'm posting it here and that way if, God forbid, something happens in Times Square, near 42nd and the Old Grey Lady...

If anyone else is having dreams that feel significant, put 'em up here! That way they'll have a date & time stamp and can be verified. Then, at least, we'll know whom to take very seriously with dire warnings & stuff... :Aliensmil

I had a dream. I was on a winding mountainous road. As the road twisted and turned sometimes I would be across a valley on the road looking at part of the road I had already driven on. Suddenly a vehicle came flying off the road. It was a van, it rotated over and over as it was flying through the air. It turned into a pickup. Of course there was a terrible crash. Several people went rushing to the site. Another motorist and I stayed back to call 911. Soon everyone climbed out of this shallow valley saying things like, the head was severed from the body. Poor guy didn't have a chance.

The dream shifted. I was at a tourist town at the top of the mountain, my destination all along. There were government officials everywhere. All the people who had witnessed the crash were being kept together as a group. While walking with the group through town, I decided enough of this. There was a particular store I was in town to go to, the whole reason for my trip. I left the group and went into the store. One of the gov officials came and herded me back to the group.

The dream shifted again. I was driving back down the road. Coming to the scene of the accident, I decided I wanted to see exactly where on the road the accident was located. I could see a mile marker partially covered by brush. I got out of the car and looked at the marker. It said 11.11.

I interpreted the dream to mean that a "head" of state would be severed from the "body" of the people on 11.11.
The head being severed from the body. The presence of government officials,
    etc.

Arafat died on 11.11 the date here in the US at the time of his death. I'm not sure of the date in France at the time, I think it was 11.11.

I had this dream two years ago before Nov 11 last year (03) so dreams can take a while to come true.

This dream is documented on live chat with George Noory. I posted this sometime in the last year. During the next chat I will locate the post and the date.

Found it. The documentation is on the Sept 23, 2003 chat.

This will probably only work if you have streamlink. It is the longest post on the chat. About 10 posts later I draw my conclusion about head of state being separated from the body of his country.

Ok, this is amazing to me. Psychic abilities run in my family. I seem to have inherited some small part of them.

Everyone dreams, every night. Many of them we do not remember. Many nights we don't remember them either.

So here is what I have learned. The ones that are remembered...pay attention to. They are trying to tell you something. Very often they tell you something good, sometimes bad. Not all dreams that are remembered carry dire warnings and bad messages.

We dream in symbols. These symbols have different meanings on different levels in our psyche. There is a main level, sometimes it also could mean something on a less important level.

    Dream symbols example:

I have a friend. My friend had two men in her life. One was an ex, the other a current live in. She stayed friends with the ex. When I met the ex I was astonished to see the resemblence to the current boyfriend. They were both short (she's 4ft 10in herself), they both had the same type of body, they both were stiff in the same leg and hip. They were both were in the same age bracket. They even had much the same personality.

She had a dream. She dreamed that her youngest son was twins and that one died. She was spooked because her son was involved. Dreams are rarely literal, although they can be.

I interpreted her dream this way. What were the twins in her life? The two men. I told her that she was going to lose one of these men in her life. She listened to me very skeptically, never really agreed with me.

Two months later she ditched the current, met somebody else and eventually got married. She still stays in touch with the first ex. She had a very prophetic dream. In this case the "death" was the death of a relationship and loss of a lover. I was able to interpret for her because I knew her so well.

It was a good dream though on the face of it scary, but really all turned out for the better for everyone. The ditched boyfriend then met somebody else himself and is now married.

And the son is alive and well and is in his senior year of high school.

I am new to the psychic/prophetic dream. Well, I'm not really. I guess I've always had them; I just was unwilling to admit it. I find myself often waking up, not remembering a dream but then experiencing de ja vu sometime in the day---probably because I dreamt the experience during the night. Often I know exactly what someone is going to say or do.

I've also had significant prophetic dreams but I cannot remember specific dates on them as I don't have them on a regular basis.

I am interested to know if anyone out there has had any dreams/de ja vu experience relating to possible past-life experiences. Here is one that I have had that seems to stay with me:

About 10 years ago a friend of mine went to New Orleans on vacation. She sent me back a postcard of a room in an antebellum mansion. When I saw the picture I swore I had been in that room before--I could see myself in it wearing the large hoop skirt dress reminscient of Gone With the Wind. When she came back from her trip she was telling me about her experiences and I pulled out the postcard. The postcard only showed part of a bedroom---the bed, the window, an antique dresser was all that could be seen. Before she could tell me, I described the contents of the room to her...especially the positioning of furniture not seen in the postcard like a full-length mirror I had seen myself in wearing the dress, a trunk, a writing table, and a wing back chair. She was stunned. I have never been to New Orleans and certainly new nothing about the history of the mansion and plantation. However, I think I have been there before.

I do indeed dream occasionally of a past life and I've done so since I was a child; I used to freak my mother out when I'd wake - at 6 or 7 years old - from a dream of that life (which ran from the 1910s to the 1950s, a time when my mother was very much alive) and tell her all the little detalis about the time I lived in and the things I'd seen, events that took place and people I'd known (it seems I was even, for a time, a colleague of my late father's, who'd died when I was three... I used to see his ghost in the house, too...) - it was, for my poor, frightened ma, instantly verifiable information I which could not have possibly known any other way! I remember her, a few times, saying "Stop it! STOP! I can't hear that!!" I don't dream as much about that life anymore but once every couple of years or so I still do and I know instantly where I am...

All my lives before that one were, it seems, lived on a different planet but that, I think, is for another thread of discussion!

Possibly prophetic Dream Post em here

For the most part, i believe dream dictionaries are too generalized, and dont work for everyone. Especially not for my dreams, lol.
But for the things i did search that it had, they were interesting interpretations to say the least, but most of the symbols in my dreams, have no definition on that site. Oh well, maybe ill find one for me one day, but for now, my own mind seems to be the best for interpreting my own dreams and you guys too, when i post my dreams to be analyzed, and i get your opinions for meanings, its always helpful for me to get different perspectives and ideas on it.

    Hello Yasinjan and WELCOME!!

Different cultures seem to have different interpretations for symbols in dreams. I agree with you though that many messages may be personal and perhaps only we can truly try to figure out what they are.

Had a dream where I yelling at the owner of a green vehicle ... looks more like a vintage convertible from the 1960's
cause there's something mechanically wrong. This vehicle needs to be parked.

In April I had a dream that seemed to me so real--I dreamed I couldn't wake up. I was in the room laying on the bed, just as it was, and saw a face popping from the wall, it was a face in the white mask, on the white wall, that kept growing. I saw eyes looking at me and I was in a panic, because I dreamed I couldn't wake up... Also, the spread of green ivy was taking over the wall around the mask and the wall edges disappeared leading to the dark garden. I heard mask talking to me, but I couldn't recognize what was said. When I woke up it seemed to me I heard "jailbreak"--never heard this term before, the term related to cell phones. My first conscious association about this dream was "King Solomon"... ... obviously I read too much....

    Possibly prophetic Dream? Hmmmmmmm.

I once read a passage in an auto-biographical book that Stephen King did ....
.. about a baby-sitter that he had when he was very young.
The baby-sitter was an overweight teenage girl, who used to grab him, and sit on his head (on the sofa) when she was about to cut a fart.
The explosions were terrifying and amazing at the same time.

Since I first became aware of the irrefutable evidence:

    • that it was U.S. Air Force cargo planes, .. not hijacked passenger aircrafts, .. that were flown into the W.T.C. on 9-11-2001,
    • that it was a missile, ..not a hijacked passenger aircraft, .. that was flown into the Pentagon on 9-11-2001,
    • that United Airlines flight 93 was not hijacked and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania, .. but landed safely at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport due to concerns that it may have had a bomb aboard, ...

... since I became aware of these things, .. I keep having a reoccurring dream that Dick Cheney and George W, Bush are holding my head down on a leather sofa, while they each take turns at sitting on my head and letting rip with powerful, explosive, sulfurous farts.

I know that my subconscious mind is attempting to tell me something.

Is it something that has happened?
Is it something that is going to happen?

    Oh well.

I'd say that's a great example of a metaphorical dream! Bush & Cheney are truly breaking wind on your head and mine -- especially where 9/11 details are concerned!

Worm I'm glad your back posting, I've missed your wit.

Here a bad example of scaring ones self awake ... I was having this great dream where I was laughing with delight over the juggling act of me carrying 5 different plates of ice cream to a customer or man seated by the big windows. He couldn't stop laughing at me as he watched ... when I turned around to discover the person responsible for dishing up all those plates of ice cream ... I was staring face to face with George Noory. At the precise moment I sat straight up in bed ... my honest too goodness ice cream fears.
