a belated RIP to Mitch Hedberg

Don't know if you all recognize the name, Mitch Hedberg, but doubtless you've seen at least one of his shows or will say, "Oh yeah! That guy!" when you hear him. Anywho.... He died on March 30, 2005.

You can find some of his routines online here:

Here's a link to one of his albums that someone put online:

    Mitch Hedberg - All Together

To my "belated RIP" thread Mitch would probably say, "Belated RIP? Better a belated RIP, than no RIP. I wish I were alive to recieve your 'belated RIP' in person, but I can't. Because I'm dead. And if I were alive ... there'd be no 'belated RIP' to recieve. Maybe there'd just be a 'belated' ... waiting for me."

Comedian Mitch Hedberg dies at 37

The 37 year old Hedberg apparently struggled with drugs and alcohol, but ... they're saying it was a heart attack. Mary Hedberg, his mother, said Mitch was born with a heart defect and frequently felt anxious about his condition.

See!? I didn't recognize the name, but the second I heard him ... I was like ... "Ah man! That sucks! He was funny!" 37.... Too damn young to die....

At least he left us a legacy of laughter. That's more than most people get to leave in their wake, eh? Makes one wonder about their own legacy....

Been listening to the album you provided the link to. That's a keeper. To bad he left us so young. Somebody should do a movie about his life. They probably will.
