I have no doubt that certain quantities, wavelengths, etc. may have some kind of significance. I just believe that this whole 11:11 thing is more of a consciousness-influenced self-fulfilling prophecy.
Does anyone have a 'feeling of great significance' when they see the symbols 'XI', or an 11 sided shape, or ..........., or when they hear an interval of 11 steps on the musical scale?
the 'mystical' numbers in math are nowhere near as sexy as 11:11 that is for sure 
However, there are plenty of them, the golden mean, PI, fibonacci sequence, higher dimensionality, corner store cashier arithmetic (the most complex science known to man) 
As far as metaphysics goes, I have always placed numerology a little tiny bit above astrology... but for occult symbolism, numerology is king it seems...
