    Be it irresolved...?

Hey folks! What time is it?

It's HOWDY DOODY TIME! Sort of.

It's that time again when people start to consider a list of New Year's Resolutions. Yes, like a peanut in the gallery or puppet on a string, folks follow the traditional standard wooden-headed absolutist all-or-nothing resolution method for self-improvement.

Thinking about it now, it seems kind of odd to me why that is. Why foist a list of stringent demands on onesself all at once like that? Especially after the indulgent atmosphere of the Holiday season. Now what kind of starting point is THAT? Do you WANT to make it any harder on yourself?

In any case, maybe it's time for a new approach. Turn things on their head! Apply a bit of reverse psychology to the situation.

To that end, over the course of 2006 I hearby irresolve to

    10. watch more TV & read less
    9. spend more time on the Web & less in the 'real' world
    8. be less organized
    7. put on weight
    6. get less exercise (...can you get less than none?)
    5. buy more stuff I don't need
    4. have less sex (*see #6)
    3. complain more & do less to actually change things
    2. worry & fret & find the dark clouds
    and most importantly...
    1. curb my enthusiasm

Seriously folks, In any case, whatever choices y'all make for the New Year, I would say make them YOURS and noone else's: take possession of your life! Have an ambition? GO FOR IT! Whatever you decide to do, decide for yourself, and don't let ANYONE STRING YOU ALONG...! KnowhutImean?

Here's to the Best for 2006, folks... Y'all have a Happy & Healthy one!

I agree, there is no unreachable goal... and the greatest tragedy is thinking too small or not believing in yourself.

I hereby irresolve to ignore my family completely, lose all my friends in favour of cyber-friends, become an alcoholic, commit suicide, learn to play every spice girls song on kazoo, completely fail to achieve anything of substance, promote the NWO, be quiet and shy and to increase my hate and stupidity levels.

    Happy NY All!

On a more serious note, I resolve to implament my visions and take my creative thoughts and find a practical application for them, so it should follow, if I accomplish this, the quality of my life and those whom I touch should see a benefit.....
