It's a well established part of art History that the Golden Section Rectangle was the basis for Mondrean's most popular works, .. as well as the basic geometric element for Bauhaus architecture that was so popular with the Third Reich in Germany in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
(And in the U.S.A. in the 1960's)

    I personally LOVE Bauhaus architecture.

It is the ultimate mixture of functional form, blended with geometric simplicity and beauty.

And I'm not even a Nazi nor New World Order member.

I even enjoy Gwen Stefani's "No Doubt" music tracks, ... despite the simple fact that I'm not a member of the Bohemian Club.

So much for having her dance naked at my next birthday party.
I guess that privilege is for folks like Hillary Clinton and her husband whatshisname.

    Melting ... melting ... what a world ... what a world ....

Sacred Geometry is the basic "nuts and bolts" of Bauhaus design, .. in fine art and architecture.

For those not familiar with this topic, Sacred Geometry essentially implies that
there is (1) Universal Language that all Consciousness understands. It is the
Language of Life. Sacred Geometric Symbols make up the Web or Matrix of Life. That which is not seen, but makes up the Whole Fabric of the Universe.

I don't profess to be an expert on this subject. I can recommend the 12 around 1 website to be provocative and insightful.

I have a problem with the last website listed firethegrid in the first paragraph
as I know the author doesn't understand the orbital path of our universe or our sun.

Thank you for the links! I am especialy drawn to the Sacred Geometry of Sounds and Music. In certan forms and styles of Four Part Harmony, the Goal is to "Lock and Ring". This means that the four parts, whether voices or instruments, are so perfectly locked in harmony that a fifth note is heard "ringing" over head. The "Holy Grail" is to produce this Fifth Note or sound overhead, and a sixth note or sound that is an undertone.
No sound board or electronic mixers here, just musicians or a capella singers perfectly locking their 4 part harmony.
It's the kind of harmony that gives you goose bumps, that takes your breath away!

There was a mention several shows past about how layout, geometry was being used in an Albanian, Hungarian or other country's psychiatric wards for schizophrenics. Does anyone know about architecture and neurology as it pertains to such healing, or anything about this treatment center mentioned a few months ago on the show?

No Sadhu, off hand I don't, however this lies in an area of deep interest for me as well...not only what you mention, but the entire topic of Ancient/Sacred geometry. I'd love to see this forum really expand and expound in this area!

I have read some about what you are referring to however can't seem to find it at the moment. I'll do some digging to see what I can find. Perhaps others will chime in with their insight/knowledge and understanding.

I have studied architecture and design - and the Bauhaus and DeStijl ideas appeal to me very, very much. The breaking down of elements, and mathematical thought that creates the parameters of space and layout. There is something that just feels "right" about it. When I design, particularly in laying out pages of documents - I always, always lay a Fibonacci grid over the page and use this as a guide. It provides a certain satisfaction in looking at the finished product.

I too love sacred geometry. Becasue of S.G. I have basically seen the truth about all religions, that alone is reason I love it so. Everything you need to know about design is found in the Vesica Piscis. This one symbol give you not only the Jesus Fish but the Pentagram, Cross of Lorane, The Kings Chamber, Hexagram, Alester Crowleys unicursal hex, dodecahedron, Sri yantra, Obelisk, 888 Chain, Eye of Anubis, the degree's of the pyramids or Giza, and much more.

If a person ever wanted to understand not only design but universal design or basically gods design sacred geometry is the way to go.

How, exactly, do you use this grid? Are the placement of the numbered squares the same always, or is this graphic simply an example of their sizing, placement being optional?
