Can one sell their Soul? If you could, would You and for what?

I don't believe it is even remotely possible for someone to own your soul. God made you, and gave you the free will to determine your own path through life. What you do with that life is totally up to you. I think the idea of selling your soul is really just making a decision to follow and become a servant of someone else. But it's still your decision. Souls can not be enslaved. No matter how bad things get, no matter what sins you've committed, you will always have the right to choose. Even if the only choices you can see before you are bad ones, they are still choices. Like, do you choose to give your life to save someone else, or let them die and live? Or, do you choose to abandon the dark path you followed for years and follow a brighter path, or do you choose to abandon all hope and continue until your eventual end? There will always be choices, no matter what. I don't believe, for even an instant, that the devil can own your soul, or anyone else for that matter.

Yes, I hold this belief more profoundly than any other. I lost my Daughter when she was four months old and from that point on, I searched for a truth. For twenty years I read more on religion and faith systems, I even went back as far as the southern hemispheric migration. This is what I have found.

Before the gods, Man was eager to be themselves and learn about themselves, Then when doubts were cast upon them by lack of rains, flooding ect... Something was wrong, maybe they had done something wrong. And as time evolved and the gods must be pleased for our sanctuary, It has gripped the human race with a vengence.
Religions in themselves have persecuted and mangled men women and children for thousands of years, hourded monies, treasures and history from the world and on top of that cursed the heart and mind of fear so great that these millions of people have sold themselves For centuries. And now in this day and age there are over two hundred recognised religions to help you sell of your most intimate enhancement to life. You.

The oldest tibeten texts I could find, write of time when we were given the opportunity to to decend from divinity to experience life than to simply be the essence of it. It has been the goal of the old tibetens to find the source of themselves to return to divinity.

In the mid Nineties there was an article released by a group of professors who pratice and teach phsycology, who released an article of how the human race created and made the devil, from God's right hand to an everlasting perpetrator on the human psyche. They decribed through every three to five hundred years the devil gets more and more devilish.

Now as far as what I believe, I love to laugh, I love to love and be loved, I have learned how bad critisism can be, how manipulating people and law can be and how much I can and do enjoy life, my soul and my vehicle... No one can buy this one.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your daughter at such a young age Sevant. I cannot imagine how painful that must have been.

Thank you for what you wrote here. Very well put! As I got older, I found myself looking much more to the Tibetan way of thinking. And I do agree that the 'human race' created the devil. It was done for control in the here and now IMO.

does the body possess the soul?...if so, i would imagine the body could trade it off for personal gain,...on the other hand, does the soul possess the body?...if so the body believing it has control and owner ship of the soul is just an illusion.....

I am firm in my belief that the soul 'possess' the body. The body is simply a vehicle for the soul to experience life in this dimension in order to experience physicality -- pain, joy, love, etc. The body is a tool we utilize in order to advance on to the next stage where we no longer need to incarnate into this dimension.

But,,,I do believe their are less dense bodies, of fine matter that the soul occupies as well.
And I do believe that these bodies, though energetic, die when the body dies,,and as such,,,a person may be able to allow these portions of one's totallity to parasitzed upon.
