Anything new going on? I'm not new to the area, been here for a better part of 4 years. I actually had something creepy happen to me last night. I didn't get to bed til late because I had heard a strange tapping sound coming from my bedroom but my husband was asleep and there was no way that he could have made that sound in the position he was laying. When I went in there it stopped. Well I went to bed around 1:30 AM and was awoken by my bedroom door opening. I know I shut it when I came into the bedroom because I can't sleep with an open door...it just creeps me out. I heard the door open, the sound it makes when the door knob is turned and the door is opened. My eyes popped open just in time to WATCH it open...with NO ONE THERE. I tried to think...was it a breeze? No, all the windows are closed and it's not windy enough outside to create a draft. The Heater/AC? No it was off. Did a walk through of the house...no one here. Needless to say I hardly slept last night. Mind you this is ON POST HOUSING. Creeepy. I've had glasses fly off surfaces and I've seen a ghost before but never anything so...scary feeling.

    Welcome to IW!!

That is scary. I wonder if there have been reports of hauntings on Military Bases. Of course I doubt that the Military would allow any investigators in...bad PR for on-base housing.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Very interesting.
This is the first incident of Paranormal Activity I have heard about at Ft. Hood.
Did this activity just start? If this happens again, make note of everything you experience.

Do NOT try and make contact with it if a ghost or spirit is involved. This might just be a temporary thing.
The thing about Ghosts is that they only have one weapon to use against you: your own fear.
I live here in Killeen, so if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Glad to have you here with us at IW (Imaginative Worlds). That sounds very spooky!

Your post makes me think about this:

Fort Hood shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fort Hood shooting was a mass shooting that took place on November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, the most populous U.S. military installation in the world, ...

I don't suppose there is any connection? Could one or more of the ones killed by Major Nidal Malik Hasan be looking for him to exact revenge?

Old downtown Killeen. By Mitchell and Associates was a haunted building. Been torn down but spirit is said to wander the area.

Also the downtown watchman. Wanders Avenue D and C. Used to work for the city back before 1900 monitoring for fires and disturbance after midnight to supplement the city police force. Apparently the watchman never really gave up the job and is sometimes still seen wandering the streets early in the morning.
