Healing with Gemstones

I recall that several months ago there was a guest on Coast who talked about all of the above. She also talked about stones changing colors when they were "working".
Well I have some lovely Rose Quartz jewelry that is fading! One bracelet has faded completely to white! Another bracelet is still pink but fading.
I don't mind talking about the fact that I sunk into a Mental/Emotional Black Hole a few years ago. I'm feeling much better now, coping much better. Could that be connected at all to the Rose Quartz (along with Therapy and Medication) and why it's faded to white?
I always feel better when I wear jewelry and I don't mind mixing metals; gold and silver and copper. Sometimes when I'm just wearing Sweats I put on earrings, necklace, bracelets, rings and it lifts my Spirits.
ALSO I have some jade that was a beautiful deep Lavender and it has faded to a pale orchid shade. That might be if the jade was died and the dye is fading. I don't know.

Hello Maryals,

Truly no. Your descriptions indicates you were ""wearing them", right? The proper use of gems as elixirs, outside of the liquified versions, has to do with specific practices, and even if they were being used with such practices, yet the gems tarnished somehow, the only way such would affect you is if you were using the technique improperly or subscribed to a belief of a direct association, despite such not being true.

I'm sure not everyone reads every post any one of us creates, though of the few I've offered, I've gone over many times how working on the glands affects psyche, and does so more profoundly than any other methods -- some times more so than food or tought, which are its closest equivalents. Different glandular exercises and breathing exercises affect different realms of being, prescribing what works for any person is unique for that person and should be done accordingly.

The only simple answer to your question that I know from what I've read Mary, is that many gemstones will fade when exposed to long periods of light and heat.

Perhaps someone else has a better answer for you.....

As I said, I remember a guest on Coast who talked about some guy who had some disease and he carried a bloodstone with him everywhere. As he got better the bloodstone turned black.
So I was just wondering if the Rose Quartz had anything to do with my healing and that's why it faded to white. Or, as Alpha suggests it could just be the exposure to heat and light. Not that it gets very hot up here

OH, yeah there is body heat......
Sadhu gives me a question: does a crystal or healing stone have to be used "with intention" for it to work? I don't think so. It is what it is, vibrates with it's unique frequency wherever it is, and so just the casual wearing of stones and crystals can have healing effects. Just my Current Best Theory

"With intention" is very valuable, any influences just by placing may do little or nothing. Kamamaya kosa may direct from inner knowing, whereas if a proper placement and pathway are known, from wisdom, proper techniques for activation are prefered by those sincere in their efforts.

Yes, Judee. Only once in more than 40 years have I found someone who knew how to properly channel gem stones within the body or elsewhere, in a non-industrial manner.

Actually, gemstones and semi-precious stones, quartzes, etc, do NOT just fade naturally. If the quartz, topaz, etc, has been colorized in a lab then it fades. Howlite, a white stone with black/grey veins, is often dyed blue and sold as turquoise.
I was just hoping that this particular "pink" quartz bracelet of mine was not in reality white quartz that had been treated to make it pink.
So, if YOUR topaz, quartz, "gemstone", jade, turquoise, has faded/changed color and it was not used with intention for healing, then it was artificially colorized.
