Judee - I was scared senseless by a screaming peacock today! He (or she) was perched in a tree, and as I walked under s/he let out a blood curdling scream. Is that normal?
Here's a shot I took in Pensacola recently:

It was probably a male peacock in the tree, and there was also probably a female on a nest somewhere nearby. And yes, it's a male peacocks job to 'call out' whenever someone/something walks by.Originally Posted by SquidInk

This one is stunning also. My favorite is the first one though, only because it feels like I can walk right into that picture onto that soft sand.
