This all Theory...
There are two large openings to the core. The one in the Arctic is said to have an opening of 800-1500 miles wide, you would be able to sail into the Inner Earth and not know doing so until you would see things you wouldn't recognize on the surface. Read "The Smokey God".

OK, we agree to disagree. We'll all find out someday.
We're all butterflies flapping our wings and changing the world.
As interesting as it is to read about the Hollow Earth theories, I really don't buy them at all. It smacks of Medieval science to me. Even if there are huge openings at the poles... a "sun" inside the core? An argument that people are meant to live in houses and we are living on the roof - that is a very shakey argument indeed, come on. Yes, it would explain some old myths and stories, but no. No. Can't buy it, and most of the time "I want to believe" - but not this.
What is the evidence of seismic waves making it through the core? I thought seismic waves were generated by movement of the crustal plates which are far above the "core". I could be wrong though, I was once before!![]()
I am yet to believe this theory, but I think it does warrant discussion.
It would serve us well to remember that in the past, "current science" told us that the earth was flat and also the center of the universe. Also, do remember that established religion tells us that, man and man alone is the highest creation of "GOD", and the earth is merely some 6,000 years old.
They also tell us that fossil fuels are the result of large deposits of organic matter that decayed into oil, natural gas etc. I don't buy that theory! That theory suggests that only certain areas on this entire planet had the necessary organic material to form fossil fuels, and the rest of the earth was barren.
I tend to think that fossil fuels are a by product of the chemical, biological, geothermal, processes of the earth's interior. As the cataclysmic events unfold over time, the fossil fuels are renewed. Think about it, we are talking about a one time event if you subscribe to that theory of the current spin.
Call me jaded, call me crazy(just don't call me a liar), but a one time event of fossil fuel goes smack in the face of all our other resources.
Anyway, sorry to get off on the original topic of the hollow earth. just think about it though, the same people(or their descendants) have told us the world is flat, we are the center of the universe, blah, blah, blah!
Do you trust their science? Their doctrine? Their politics? Their economic vision? Then, why do you believe their account of science, history, and your future?

I was able to provide the link to the image on the right but attempts to find the link to the image on the left proved futile. I suspect it has since been removed.

These photos are from NASA at http://history.nasa.gov/SP-168/section1.htm
These are of the Earths Polar Regions, I find it amusing the center of both these photos are devoid (sanitized) of any detail, you will find alot of this on NASA's website.

who knows? maybe the government doctored those for their own reasons. when i went to look at my old high-school (baumholder, germany), i realized that they had 'airbrushed' out the giant fuel storage tanks and put in some nice, grassy parking lots.
maybe there's a giant engine on the top of the world, leeching power from the earth's rotation. the hollow earth theory, to me, seems contrary to logic. how would a giant mass cooling in space become hollow? do you believe that all planets are hollow (and yes, i remember the whole 'moon reverberation' experiment)? i'm not trying to be confrontational at all. just curious.
do you believe that the earth was, at some point, hollowed out by artificial means?

Interesting pictures Boomer, and yes teresius, it is hard to believe. I don't even know if I believe it but it is fact that this planet called earth does indeed at least have underground oceans, huge caverns and so on, so it did not exactly cool down into a purely solid mass.
Hey, that's why we come here, to discuss this kind of stuff. It's the only path to the truth. We have to seek the truth and not rely on anyone else to tell us what to believe.
