I am sharing this from the Mitch Battros ECTV Newsletter:
"A Time of Prayer; Demonstrating World Community
I would like to suggest a time set aside to demonstrate the power of a collective world consciousness which I believe can make a difference. Not only for those who suffered personal loss, but for each of us as well. I believe when a collective gathering with a singleness of focus occurs, a healing ensues. Again, not just for those who were at ground zero, but for each of us who have been affected personally at just viewing what has occurred to our brothers and sisters, and acknowledging the power of nature itself. I affirm that it is not for us to ‘fear’ nature, but to embrace its power.
The proverbial “fork-in-the-road” has become more pronounced everyday. The Mayans have told us of this time. It has come time for to choose which path we shall take. Will you follow the road of “sameness” which brings along with it the fear of change, or, will you follow the road of “transition” which brings with it a new world. Some may say “new view of the world”. Will you ‘fear’ nature and the upcoming elevated events, or will you ‘embrace’ the natural occurrence of change as it manifest in the power of natural events?"
And this:
"Time of Meditation
My suggestion is to take a moment on Friday December 31st at exactly 11:00 PM (all time zones), to reflect on those who have been directly and in-directly affected by the Indian Ocean Tsunami. I specifically state “all time zones”. This is meant to say take this moment at exactly 11:00 PM in the time zone you reside. In this way, a series of “waves” will come across the planet. Yes, very much like the waves of a tsunami, such shall be the waves of compassion and prayer."
Unlike a "mind Blast" to, say, change the course of a hurricane, a matter over which we have all debated pro and con, this would be waves of Healing Energy.
For some, we may pray The Rosary at that time. Others may perform a Candle Liturgy. Still other may do their own "Meditation", say the Prayers that are dearest to them.
I, for one, do not fear the Earth Changes that have begun and that will continue. I Trust God, I figure He knows what He's doing.
If it is the Goddess you worship, I should hope that you have the same Trust. What it comes down to is a Trust in a Power greater than ourselves, and HOPE that all things will happen for the Good, that Good will triumph, and All will turn out as it is meant to be.
Yet, for all that I've just said about a Higher Power, we have been given gifts, powers as well, and the Free Will to choose to use them or not.
As I was watching the various "home videos" of the Tsunamis, I noticed in one, taken from the second storey of a Hotel, that a man wearing swim trunks, standing on a balcony, climbed out onto the other side of the railing, reaching his hand out, trying to catch someone, anyone, in those raging waters.
Whether he succeeded or not doesn't matter, the fact that he tried does.
Well, OK, I'm sorry, sometimes I get wordy![]()
I just wanted to share what Mitch Battros suggested. I will take a moment for prayer for Peace and Healing on Friday December 31st at 11 pm Alaska Time.
