I like Ian and George Knapp to do the weekends, The best would be getting rid of Noury and use Ian weekdays and Knapp weekends.

I usually really enjoy Knapp, however I don't think he has any intention of picking up any more airtime on Coast

I think Coast need some new blood....someone who is really passionate about the topics we used to love, is willing to do some due dilligence relative to research and where they want to take a specific topic and wants to take the program to new heights, rather than the far too often infomerical for someone's new product, book or DVD

Wonder why Premiere won't consider giving John B Wells, Tim Binnall, Rob McConnell or some others a turn at the mike.........

Yeah, what is it with this guy? Every time he's suppose to be doing C2C he's not, because of some lame technical difficulty excuse. Nobody can be that technically challenged, can they? Maybe he was to drunk to do weekend night shows. Yeah, that must be it. What else could it be?

maybe he has some issues with the staff or the corporate execs. maybe he's actually a decent person. maybe he doesn't want to be associated with noory. there's a million different possible explanations.

    Hi all,

    First post.

    Here's an e-mail I just sent to C2C:

"Hi George, (or whoever is reading this)

This is just a quick note to let my feelings be known about Ian Punnett. Please take him off the air and replace him with George Knapp. Keep Ian around for booking guests though. I throughly enjoy the people he brings on (when he gives them a chance to talk).

1)He takes up too much time with his inane chatter - at the start of the show, going into and coming out of commercial breaks, etc. More meat, less fluff!

2)He thinks he's the star of the show. He's constantly cutting off guests. The questions he asks are designed to make him look smart (even if they're not relevant) And he doesn't let the guest finish his/her answer.

3)He does too much proselytizing - C'mon, a show with Jesus??? So transparent. Why not just say mass on C2C next weekend? Constantly quoting the bible (again, whether it's relevant or not), Always talking about his ordination. "Deus te amat", Enough already!

4)His humour is puerile - Every show you can count on the guest (usually female) feeling uncomfortable with at least one immature sexual innuendo. Grow up man!

With all that being said, like I mentioned before, keep him on as an ideas guy. His topics are top notch. It's a testament to how good they are that I still listen even considering all the negative points I've outlined above.

    Just my two cents,
    ludger"

Also, I'm a fan of George Knapp and wish he would do more shows. Noory isn't too bad IMO.

    Welcome ludger!!

    Great first post!!

I'm so glad to hear that the listeners our there still care enough and take the time to input to Premiere. How long have you been a listener?

In any case, I have been more than disappointed with Ian's "contribution" of late and I agree, that Knapp, Wells, Binnall or anyone else should be given a chance to take the program to at minimum what it once was, or to a new level.

    In any case...

If you are a night person, please do join us for almost real time conversation about the program de nuit, every night in our Temporal Observatory

    Hi Alpha,

Thanks for the nice welcome. I've been a listener on and off for about 7 years or so. (It's tough staying up, then going to work!) For Christmas my wife bought me a Streamlink membership so now I download the programs and listen to them throughout the day. If I'm ever up I'll definitely check out the T.O.

    Edited to Add:

I used to live in Toronto a couple years ago.

If I was the host, I would invite you on. I've always said, everyone has a story to tell. It's just that they have not been asked to tell it.

    Wink Art come back

I have been listening to C2C for over 17 yrs for sure... I actually gave up my night job and went to day shift when Art went off the air (the first time)... when he went back on the air...I went back to nights...thats how hooked I was....on HIS VOICE ! Why can't we get him back 1-2 days a month?? That's my REAL VOTE... (but have learned to love George now...but it took awhile!)

I always make sure I stay up for george knapp shows and look foward to them.
Art shows too. Other than that, it is the guests that bring me in.

He still must have some money left. After the economy crashes, and the markets and banks all crash, he'll be back on air.

    Favorite stand-in

George Knapp is so heads and shoulders above everyone else, it's astounding.
